I couldn’t go to my usual nail place so I went here. I waited 30min past my scheduled appointment time. My experience getting my acrylics taken off and new ones put on was extremely painful. Instead of soaking off my acrylics, they pried them off even when I said that they were hurting me. They used an old nail filling drill which got extremely hot when used for more then 10 seconds. I could feel the drill going almost through my natural nail and the pain was so bad I actually yelled out a few times and told them it hurt and tried to take my hands away. The fake nails they put on were uneven and shaped badly. When they applied the SNS powder it burned my fingers and my nails probably because the nail drill created tiny cuts. The whole ordeal took 2 hours when usually it only takes 45 minutes at my usual place. They charged me $70…. I usually pay between $40-60 w/o tip. I just assumed that meant that my nails were super nice and going to last super long but it’s been less than a week now (it’s Sunday and I got them last Monday) and most of my fake nails have unstuck partially from my natural nail and it’s extremely painful. I am very frustrated that I wasted $70 and went through all of that pain for nothing. Never going back. Please be careful if you get acrylics. In the photos you can see a bandaid on my pinki- that’s keeping my fake nail on so it doesn’t hurt.

Unfortunately I did not have a great experience. I gave this place a chance because of the reviews and I figured if it’s in Mountain Brook it has to be pretty good. Not the case!

Critical: Quality, ValueI needed a last minute SNS polish change, when I walked in no one was in there, I didn’t even think they were open. At that point I should’ve just turned around & left. I’ve been getting my nails done for years & I have never left with my nails looking worse. I’ve gotten the dip powder for several years now, & it has NEVER started coming off the day I got them done. Got powder on my nails and the next day they chipped. I had to go back twice to get them fixed. She filled my powder in with gel and it peeled off the next day. The last Time I went they were very rude and said it was my fault they kept chipping. I have had powder numerous times and have never had them chip. Also, they did their powder with the wrong techniques. Currently all of the nails have air bubbles in them but I will not go back and endure their rudeness. Do not go here.

The whole experience was not good. Lady coughed on my hands multiple times, kept taking phone calls, walking off halfway through manicure. Also was rude while I was trying to pay- was taking my cash out of my wallet as I was trying to get it. I’ve had people at other places offer to help but never take it upon themselves to grab the money for themselves. Nails are not even shaped evenly on top of everything. Won’t be returning.

Would give 0 stars if I could. This was the worst nail salon experience I’ve ever had. The nail technician didn’t know how to take off my dip powder nails, so she took a plier tool and ripped them off, which I told her hurt me, but she kept doing it. The place looked extremely unprofessional and had no other customers in it, I understand why.
