Guided by reviews, I visited Happy Barber in East Boston today. Unfortunately, my partner and I ( a gay couple ) heard a homophobic conversation among the barbers. I was going to say something but I realized their level of ignorance and decided not to place myself at that level. Needless to say, barbers should not engage in this type of conversations for obvious reasons, but more importantly, for the sake of the business. So, dear reader, I am hoping to raise awareness about the respect we all need to have for GLBTQ community, including members of the Latin American community in East Boston and Chelsea. If you think the best way to attempt to educate people is by hurting their pockets, please do not give them your money. PLEASE help me spread the message.
