Like a lot of Utah kids, “my mom cut my hair” growing up—granted, she is a cosmetologist with a chair in her basement. But I decided that I wanted to to try a barber, so I did some searching and found Clay. I don’t know much about barbershop tradition, but from the musky gentlemanly scent of his shop to the well-manicured beard adorning his face I could tell Clay loved his craft. I’m not a very picky person, so I let Clay do whatever he felt would look good, and he crushed it! I normally wear a hat every day, but I seriously went the next week without wearing one just because I loved my haircut. I’ll go to Clay as long as he’s within driving distance, and I’d recommend him to anyone. He’s easy to talk to and he makes every visit a great experience.
