Kyle does a wonderful job. He takes his time and truly pays attention to the cut, and it is obvious that he is a professional. He always seems willing to give advice and suggestions if wanted, but also listens to the customer and does a wonderful job of fulfilling the desired cut. Easily the best haircut I have received at an extremely fair price.

Kyle is FANTASTIC!!! I have never had such a great haircut experience! I warned him that my hair does it’s own thing especially when cut short the way I would like it. I said I’m used to it and have no expectations. He said “Let me see what I can do.” He left the problem area’s a little longer so they would still lay down and look nice without being pasted down with greasy hair gel which I hate that look. I am definitely going back!

I’m a very satisfied customer. The owner/barber is very experienced in his trade. He uses more classic barbering techniques than you will find in a cookie cutter salon. He offered up a bit of beard outlining while I was there as part of my haircut. He happily gave me a quick consult and got to work, paid attention to details like eyebrow trimming, and used a straight razor to finish off the lines. I received the type of service you would expect from a trendy city barber that would normally cost 3 times as much. The space is clean, organized, and welcoming. The overall experience was inviting and comfortable. The haircut was top notch, and the price was cheaper than it should have been for the services I received. This man deserves your business.

I found a true Barber with a passion for his craft at Handsome Devil!! I have tried multiple shops and stylists, but I dread going and paying for beard trims or fades that I have to fix myself later at home. I’ve been several places in Madison, and another shop in Monroe, but I never return to those place for multiple reasons. I was referred to Handsome Devil This summer, so I decided to give it a shot. Here is my review: I called ahead, and left a message for an appointment, but I decided to just stop in, since I was in the area. When I arrived, there was someone in the chair, and I was able to get in right afterward, with only a ten minute wait. The shop was very clean, and the gentleman doing the cutting (Kyle), was a very well dressed man with a nicely shaped beard and a nice hairstyle; which gave the impression that he knew how important appearances are. The music was a variety of genres, and I appreciated the songs that played while I was there, which added to the experience. A Dyson fan let a gentle breeze as I sat down in the chair for my turn. I gave a generalization of how I usually style my hair (or attempt to), and then I gave total freedom to Kyle. He recommended some things that I haven’t ever even considered or knew I could have done. He paid very close attention while fading my hair, and was very meticulous while trimming my beard; which is so important for someone who takes the time to grow one out. After the cut, he then straight razored my face and neck. I have had people press a little too hard in the past, which can leave scars if done incorrectly. Kyles sharp tools and careful touch made me enjoy the experience. I never once felt nervous of scarring as he edged my face and neck, and the razor barely made contact (as it should). For once I have managed to get a proper beard trim and hair cut by a true professional. It is refreshing to have such attention to detail from a Barber. The scent of his products were awesome as well (the shaving cream, etc.). When my wife saw me after the cut, she smiled and told me how much she likes the way my haircut looks. She is usually very critical, as most people accepting money these days do a pretty poor job (or as good as any of our mothers when we were children). I have never really felt like I have had a style that actually fit me, but after visiting Handsome Devil, I now have! It almost felt like my very first haircut. It definitely felt like how a haircut should feel, and the hairstyle has given me new confidence!
