I cancel my membership because it seems like I could get facials easier than a massage. My last massage was scheduled for April 1 at 9 AM I confirmed via call received a text message as well. Upon arrival I was told that the Massage therapist did not know he had an appointment. A 45 minute drive to tell me upon arrival that my appointment was canceled is unacceptable. I was told several times if I cancel they bill my account. I ask for my funds to be returned. This company has no accountability for their actions. This company is a nightmare.

I am so disappointed in Hand and Stone. I have been a client for several years. I love getting my massages every month. Unfortunately H&S has not been able to keep stable staff and even when they do have staff, they are constantly cancelling on me. I had an appt tonight and they just called to cancel again. I have already cancelled my monthly services so there is not much else I can do. I only want to use up my paid for massages at this point. They offer nothing in return, no upgrade, no discount. Again, if you are looking for regular massages, this is not the place for you. They will cancel on you time and time again.

It’s all a big scam. They never have appointments available and they have blackout periods where you’re not allowed to book. If you’re a member you accumulate so many available services because you can’t book any. Then when you go to cancel your membership you have 90 days to use up all your remaining services or you lose them. Keep in mind a membership is basically just prepaying for an appointment. So you’re just paying for nothing when you can’t book anything and you have a ton of services to use before your membership ends. Then when you manage to book appointments for your remaining services they book one too many so then you’re stuck paying for that last appointment because when they booked them they counted how many services you have left incorrectly.

This company has become a nightmare. I cancelled my membership several months ago. They lost the masseuse who previously did good work for me. The subsequent masseuses they scheduled me with did not do a good job. They began wasting a lot of scheduled massage time on unwelcome sales pitches. They then didn’t have time to get to my neck even when I told them at the beginning that was the area I wanted them to focus on. When I stopped rescheduling after my appointments, the receptionist asked if there was a reason. I told her I was unhappy with the recent service there and I wanted to go somewhere else. She just said “yeah, that makes sense.” Nothing else. I tried going to the Camp Hill location a couple times, and it wasn’t any better. After I cancelled my membership, they continued to charge my card every month. I have successfully disputed each charge with my credit card company, but they keep charging me every month for a service I cancelled several months ago and very much do not want. I will never return to this horrible place.

Hand & Stone has really disappointed me lately. I pay month to month for a membership and I can never get an appointment, despite trying at all 3 locations near here. When I *can* get something scheduled MONTHS in advance, often I get a phone call a day or two before saying they have to cancel. I have 8 months worth of credits that I’ve accumulated just because I can’t ever get an appointment. I’ve been wanting to cancel for months, but if I cancel, I only have a short amount of time before all my credits are unusable, and the way I’ve struggled to get appointments, I feel like I’m either going to be stuck in an endless cycle of membership renewal or be forced to bite the bullet and accept that I’ve wasted $600+ on spa packages I can’t use.
