I truly appreciate great customer service. I had an issue with my account and the manager and front desk that was present took their time to figure out the issue instead of just saying “well we didn’t find anything.” I appreciate that she reassured me before my massage that she’d look into it and actually did. I don’t understand the good reviews. I came in today for the first time hoping to have a relaxing massage. The massage therapist was late. Instead of apologizing, she said she doesn’t cut time. She didn’t apologize and was aggressive when I asked for an apology she said she doesn’t apologize in front of other people. (I was the only person in the waiting room at the time.) I told her that there is no one there. She said the front desk is there – Ummmmm so you can’t apologize to someone in front of your co workers? So you’re late to a massage appointment and instead of apologizing, you’re arguing with the customer? I declined the massage & asked for someone else. The front desk lady asked if I wanted to speak in the office. Is this high school? No. I want the massage that I booked. I canceled and left; who wants to get a massage after all that?

I’ve only been a member of Hand & Stone in Kearny for a few months, and I always enjoy my massage with Cary. She is very professional, knowledgeable, and GREAT at what she does! Iam a nurse and my body gets put through the ringer, but after my massage, I walk out feeling brand new!!! She is the best!!!

Just finished my massage with Thea, and let me tell you how I had such a terrible massage. It left me with my neck and shoulders hurting. Also the massage was rushed, you pay for an hour and you don’t even get the full hour, I started at 4:25pm & ended at 5:05pm. The massage hurt more than it felt good and I kept telling her to do it gentle & still. I do not recommend this place or her to anyone. I’m very disappointed.

My friends got me a giftcard from this specific location for my birthday. I was wanting to book a facial to treat myself for Labor Day Weekend, they had no appointments until the week after so I booked at Clifton. When I was paying, the girl at the front told me that there was no balance on my giftcard and it took them about 20 minutes to find the transaction to see I was telling the truth because I was not about to pay $160 for my facial when it was supposed to be a gift. My friends had told me that the lady from this location (Kearny) was not even paying attention when my friend was buying the giftcard and did not input the information correctly and was on her phone while my friend was checking out! Carelessness like this is what causes mistakes like this! Pay attention to your paying customers!

Very VERY unprofessional. No customer should ever be spoken to that way, I have a video of Cathleen yelling and talking very disrespectful if I could post it on here. I would. I stop in to cancel my membership and there’s a note saying that I am super annoying. Where is the professionalism? She should be working at mcdonald’s taking her attitude out on someone else. I need to speak to the manager as soon possible because I will not tolerate this disrespect from anybody.
