On 1/14/2023, I had a scheduled massage at 3rd Street Jacksonville Beach, FL. The receptionist confirmed my reservation and verified that I booked a Hot stone massage. I got a massage and but did not get the Hot stones and after the massage, she said that she forgot. I went to the front desk to pay with my gift card that my son gave me for my birthday which was worth $99.95. The cashier told me that I owed $109. I informed her that I just got an introductory massage without the hot stones. So the cost was $69.95 and I could not get back the $30 on the card, because it can only be used once. I booked the appointment for the Introductory Hot stone massage of $89.95 to use up the card, so I lost $20 on the card. I should have asked about the policy about gift cards, which was on the Cooperate website. UPDATE – The manager called and apologize for the misunderstanding and cleared up it up. And yes it’s cooperate policy to use the card for one time purpose. Because of this misunderstanding the manager was very accommodating and gave me a credit for the $30. which was nice. I felt a whole lot better now about this visit and Vanessa did a very good job with the massage.

The massage itself is not bad. But it’s kind of a scan that the one hour massage started at 5:10, finished at 5:55. So it’s a 45 minutes massage. They also charged $10 extra for deep tissue which I don’t really feel the deep tissue. Not worth it.

Massage and therapist were great. Thank goodness the manager was there, because the front desk procedures were less than great, and I had to ask for a credit. Vague and imprecise on the explanations of services. Check statements carefully.

Deceptive business practices at Jax beach franchise and manager or managers do not understand simply business practices and/or customer service. They told me that I cannot book a last minute massage appt more than two times without being a member so I joined a membership. After joining the membership, every time I visited the Jax beach location for my appointment they told me that I cannot book a last minute massage. Last minute massage is the first choice when I log in on their site plus I have a somewhat unpredictable schedule so I have no idea what is going on with management at this location. The management seems to have an issue with the corporate web site for Hand and Stone. Eventually, after being told as a member (over and over and over) that I cannot book last minute massages I decided to cancel my membership. I tried emailing and calling corporate to cancel my membership and was told it must be done at the spa level. So I called the Jax beach location phone to cancel and was hung up in the middle of me canceling and when I called back no one answered the phone and I called 5 times. I would like to cancel my membership. The whole point of getting a massage is relaxation and every time I go to this location there was always some kind of a stressful issue. I hoped this would location would work out as it is fairly convenient but it did not. I kept being told that I booked my massage wrong on the web site (then change the site) or that they cannot find my gift cards that I purchased. I spent over 6 hours over a couple days calling them to find my gift cards that I purchased one month earlier through their christmas in July promotion. Evidently their manager was out of the country for months so I then also had to wait weeks for a return phone call from her because no one could find my gift cards that I purchased as part of the email promotion one month earlier. The gift cards were eventually located somewhere on their internal web site. Using the gift cards there was always some kind of an issue too. On a side note, all the massages are good and the therapists s seem to be very good at massage. I also agree with the other reviews that you never get the full hour or even 50 minutes for that matter but since the massage therapists were so overall good, I never complained that the time of the massage was cut short. Stay away from this location and avoid dealing with management.

My first visit to the jax beach location and it was simply AMAZINGGGGGG! SUMMERGRACE AND KEIRTSTEN ARE ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL. Summer grace went above and beyond the call of duty. She educated me on all the different services that Hand and Stone offers. She is so very knowledgeable about the products and services. Both ladies were warm and inviting. Acknowledgment was embraced once we opened the door. Ms. Carla was my masseuse and she was absolutely incredible. I see why she is always booked. Thank you Summergrace,Kheirsten and Ms.Carla for all being amazing people. I will definitely be back to this location.

This is a nice cozy spot off in a little plaza when you go in to. the lobby it’s a nice neat, clean lobby they give you your application to fill out if you’re a first time customer they asked you and give you recommendations on what type of massage you want introduce you to your massage therapist, take you in the back the room is very relaxing the massage experience is customized for you so whatever type of music you want if you want the table heated whatever it is you want they’ll be able to accommodate you I will be going back for another massage my massage was ok I’m gonna try a different one next time but like I said it’s a nice spot I think you’ll enjoy yourself nice clean respectable establishment.
