I’ve been a member of Hand & Stone for nearly two years now. I was looking for a massage studio that was reasonably priced but still safe and clean. I’ve experienced many wonderful massage therapists at the San Rafael location, but am currently seeing Roxanne about once a week to manage my back pain from performing a desk job, chronic injuries, and weight lifting. Roxanne is so gifted at what she does and truly a pleasure to see weekly. I highly recommend getting the deep tissue from her – she is amazing at this!!

There were 2 very soft spoken and competent people greeting people as I walked in. it felt like private, personal attention. The woman who helped me was very quick to respond, get my signatures on things, offer water and she was very kind and, as I say, competent in her job. My masseuse was excellent. I am enjoying the impact of his massage today. I was v tight in R shoulder and arm and back. He knew what to do to help me. He was friendly, but quiet most of the time. He engaged me in the process of the massage and urged me to speak up if pressure too hard. I had a v positive experience of the spa last pm.

Highly recommend for a facial! Book w/ Tann (hope I spelled her name right!) she will take such good care of you with your facial!! Backing up a little though, the front desk intake team was awesome, friendly and super inviting! The intake process was smooth and we were able to get checked in a little early!

My facial with Bethanny was top notch. She was knowledgeable and skilled and I liked her personality too. She gave me advice on products without being a hard sell. I enjoyed the aromatherapy face and neck massage too. My friend got a deep tissue massage and thought the experience was great–and the practitioner did a great job to release the excessive stress tension held in her neck and shoulders. Amazing!!!! So I have a regular weekly massage with another provider. When he got Covid and was out for a while, I thought I’d pop into Hand & Stone for a “one off” while I waited for him to get better. OMG!
