I’ve been going to H&S for awhile now and while I’ve enjoyed my massages, and think the facility is clean, cozy, and the therapist great. I still have some issues with how the place it run. I always seem to get charged for things the therapist alludes to at the beginning of my service that I won’t be charged an extra cost. Then I get to the counter at the end of my session and sometimes owe between $40, $20 in addition to my membership massage. I’ve also asked for my membership be put on hold in person twice to hold charges for a couple months so I can catchup with my banked massages and I just keep getting charged, due to some form they need to send me that I still haven’t received. The staff is constantly suggested that I double up on my services or use up a massage for add ons, but don’t feel like it’s an even swap. I also agree with a few of the other reviews on start times, while I read that clean up and prep are part of my service I don’t feel the prep of the last persons service should go into my service time. I have sat and waited in the lobby for up to 10min before my massage start with no extra time on the other end of my 50 min. While I love how the therapists ask you what part of your body is in need of more care, I don’t really like that that’s the only place that seems to be worked on over a 50 min. session. I feel like I’ve never had a full body massage yet. Sorry for the rant, but its the way I’m feeling at the moment about my experiences with H&S. Again the therapist, massages and facility are great, guessing I just need to be more aware of potential extra costs, shorter service times, and speak up on wanting a full body massage!

I could not walk straight when I went into the session, and now I am walking upright and not hurting. This was the best massage I have ever had, and he has a client for life.

The Hand and Stone facilities are quite nice and tranquil. But I was to gave an hour massage which turned into a 30 minute massage. The person before me didn’t get out for 15 minutes late and then they needed to clean the room. The massage was fine but felt I did not get my monies worth.

Whatever you do, however great they make the deal sound DO NOT give this company your credit card information. I have tried to cancel this membership several times and keep getting the run around. Here’s their MO: they make you fill out a form to cancel and conveniently “lose” it so that you continue to get billed. Then when you complain they say they’ll have the manager call you – which never happens. When I went to the store to see the manager she had conveniently “just stepped out” but will call me the next day (again, never happened). Google “trouble cancelling Hand and Stone membership” and you will see that I am not the first to have gotten this exact same runaround from this company. Next step will be legal action and a call to the local NBC affiliate in our area to broadcast a warning to all potential customers thinking of joining the monthly membership scam.

Have had great massages and facials here. Highly recommend Jamelle for a facial – she gives recommendations after looking at your skin and what you’d like to focus on. Throughout the facial, she doesn’t talk much and has a gentle touch which helps you really relax and enjoy the facial.

Did facial and massage in my birthday. Did mistake to signup to their membership. Next morning after massage had problem with neck, called to termite membership and they refused to refund $100 initiation fee. Good that I negotiated and didn’t pay them $200 initiation fee. It’s not fair. They don’t give you to read the contract just showing where to sign. Everything sounds simple until it don’t.
