I have to say, I started to fall in love with this location until I recently came to purchase a gift card for my husband. I have to give this location a 3 only because they have a wonderful lady that comes only on the weekends, but usually works at the Burleson location. I forgot her name, but she is awesome! She’s friendly, attentive, and gives a wonderful massage. The reason I couldn’t give them a 4 or 5 is because of my recent visit. I went in to purchase a gift card for my husband for Father’s day. I tried to purchase a card with a certain amount to cover a massage and the tip, since we were not a member, I was told that I had to purchase the card for $120. I explained to her that it would be his 1st time, so wouldn’t he be eligible for the $69 intro rate. Again, I was told that I would still have to pay $120 even if they only charge him the intro rate. I wasn’t happy that I was being somewhat forced to pay $120 for a $69 massage. The lady at front desk said let me double check 1st. After returning, she had the same answer, except this time I was told that I could book him an appointment instead of the gift card and it would be the $69. At that point, I was just going to pay the $120 and call it a day until…..a lady walked out of the office and sat next to the lady I was speaking to and started staring at me. I felt some type of way, so I spoke to her. She never spoke, she just stared at us. I assumed she was the manager. After feeling uncomfortable, I decided that I was going to call Massage Envy and see about their gift card policy. After I made that comment, she got up and walked back to the office. I think higher up needs to rethink having her in management. Coming from where I’m from, it’s like she came out to intimidate me. I know how to be professional, but anyone else would have taken that to a whole different level.

The staff at this Hand and Stone are quite friendly. My wife has gotten a few massages here and I just purchased three massage voucher gift cards for some family members. The buying experience is quite easy and I know that the recipients really appreciated the gift. These days people don’t want stuff, they want experiences, and what better than a massage!

Pay for an hour but was actually 40 minutes. Very aggressive and assertive massage therapist walked in and told me to take a seat in the chair. Felt like I was in the principles office. She asked me what part of my body needed focus told her my arm. Which turned out to be the least focused part of the whole massage. Probably a whole 45 seconds spent on my arm.

I just showed up here for a massage just now, and I accidentally went to the wrong location. The man at the front desk helped me cancel and reschedule at the other location, he was so kind. The female behind the counter had such sweet things to say and helped make suggestions about how I could solve the problem. On my way out she continued to lift my spirits and I was really having a bad day so both of their kind gestures made such a huge impact on me. Thank you so much!!

I had a facial and massage today, the masseuse and esthetician were amazing! I’m only giving three stars bc the place was FREEZING! I was even laying on a heated bed during my facial and was so cold, which now I’m wondering if it even worked. Toes, fingers, nose all frozen. The facial experience would have been much better had it not been an ice box. Everything she put on my face I cringed bc it was COLD.

If I could give negative stars, I would. My wife and I decided it would be nice and relaxing to go get a massage every month. However, it always proved to be more stressful than anything. Over the past 10 months, they’ve called us at least 5 times on the day of our appointment to let us know they’d have to reschedule for one reason or another. You have to book your appointment weeks in advance, but then they make zero effort to keep their scheduled appointments with you. This is a supposedly high-end spa that charges high-end prices, but the quality of your massage varies greatly from one masseuse to another. You are rolling the dice every time. We made the mistake of starting their monthly subscription service. We were told we had to come in-person to the same location we signed up at to cancel. When we drove out of our way and asked about cancelling, they said they will email us a form to fill out digitally. We filled out the forms and then received a phone call asking if we’re sure we want to cancel. On top of that, they said they require 30 days notice so they’ll go ahead and charge us for the next month anyway. Meanwhile, we can’t even get in for our last massage when we make an appointment 2 weeks in advance. We are now getting better, cheaper massages at walk-in independent businesses.

Ms. Kiki Carr is a great esthetician, she is very knowledgeable. I enjoyed my facial. I also decided to become a member as I was previously. The only things that bothers me is that the member price use to be 49.99 and now it’s 59.99 which still isn’t too bad but they could have kept the member price at 49.99 to be in competition with other spas that charge more? Otherwise I like Hand & Stone. Massages are always so nice and relaxing!

I loved my massage therapist and received the introductory offer for my first visit however I will not return due to the way the services are scheduled. I arrived 10 minutes early and wasn’t taken back until 3 minutes after my massage was supposed to start. My massage ended 6 minutes early, I got dressed, was offered a membership program, paid and back in my car right at 4pm when my massage was supposed to end. I did not get a full hour I only received a 50 minute massage. For $69 that is great but paying $119 normal price for only 50 minutes when it is advertised as 60 minutes is not ok with me. It does not take someone 6 minutes to change.I am making this a huge deal because I AM A SERVICE PROVIDER at another spa and it is very important to give the client 60 minutes from start to finish. I’m not sure what booking system is being used but it’s not ok to cut clients time. You should be scheduling clean up time after each service that is scheduled. Just my own professional opinion.
