Massage was great unfortunately the communication was not. I was quoted a new client price for my wife and I to get a couple massage. Was quoted same price at check out. I asked for receipt to be emailed. It never was, few days later I looked at my credit card to find a much larger amount billed to my card. Called to ask about the higher charge and was told this is couples charge. Even tho was quoted a lower price twice. I guess a massage cost more if you share a room. Would have nice to been told this when we booked the massage.

I wouldn’t even give it one star. Do NOT join their membership. You pay a yearly fee and what they don’t tell you is then you are charged a monthly fee. When called to address the issue they said sorry you should have read the fine print. Yes you may be correct but staff should also INFORM the people of the monthly charge as well when asking to join the membership. Poor poor communication. Leaving out important information and you sign a tablet so they don’t give you much time to read they just say initial here and sign there. Pressure, pressure. When we called they basically just said too bad about the membership and failure to communicate. This place is a scam!!!

People at this location were pleasant enough, but I fear this franchise chain is doomed. Our local Hand & Stone closed their doors, leaving outstanding appointments who were never even notified. We just showed up to locked doors one day. Beware!

I had a couples massage for my boyfriends birthday. I had chosen Michelle and Gary but the day before my appointment I got a call saying Michelle wasn’t avaliable. No biggie so I chose Lena. Paid $260. Lena was amazing! She did this pull thing on my legs and it relieved so much stress. She gave my back extra attention like I asked while still massaging my whole body, including my scalp and warm towels on my feet. I would give her five stars.

I had gotten a gift card for my sister for $100. I decided to use it for a facial. Although on the website it listed an introductory facial at $69.99.. I was told it was the $99. The young lady who did the facial Sam was great and it was very relaxing. She talked about adding on a debrasion for $40. I agreed. Then checking out was told that was an extra $90 charge.. so I paid $190 plus tip for a facial. That was way out of line.

Critical: Communication, ProfessionalismBefore COVID-19 hit I’ve been a regular member with this company for the past couple years in Greensboro NC at the Friendly shopping center location. That location is by far the only location that lives up to its name. This location however, I didn’t even get to make it to the appointment. Yesterday I booked an appointment for today at 5pm with this location. Being out of state working with a travel nurse company I typically work several 12 hour shifts leaving me exhausted and tired. Today when I got off work early I took a nap to make sure I wasn’t cranky going to get my massage, to my surprise I overslept. The moment I opened my eyes and realized it, I felt bad so I immediately called at 5:09 and it is 23min away from me. A young girl answered the phone with horrible customer service I might add, saying that since I cancelled the service they would be taking my package or charging my card(which since I haven’t had an account there is no card) only to pay the massage therapist for me missing my slot. I informed her nowhere does it say they’ll take a package but apparently it’s the same charging my card. How is it when I call to let you know, you all act like you don’t give a care. Which I wasn’t calling to cancel I was calling to reschedule and was going to rejoin when I arrived and purchase or attempt to purchase my family packages for Christmas presents, however talking to her was leaving a bad taste in my mouth as manners clearly weren’t established when she was growing up. I then asked to speak the manager who also to my surprise wasn’t the friendliest and basically repeated what the girl said. At this point I just simply asked for the corporate number and was told I would have to “google it” and I repeated my question because EVERY establishment has a corporate number to provide to their customers. But she said she “doesn’t have a corporate number for customers to contact”. So before I hung up as she is asking me if ‘there is anything else she could help with’ as she hadn’t helped with ANYTHING since I’ve been on the call, I kindly let her know how she was being an “asshole”. I wouldn’t let my dog get a massage from this place. From booking to consultation to the actual appointment is not suppose to be stressful, yet suppose to be a place of relaxation, peace and tranquillity. I should’ve read the reviews before booking at this location, worst mistake. Before COVID-19 hit I’ve been a regular member with this company for the past couple years in Greensboro NC at the Friendly shopping center location. I always feel extremely pressured to purchase gift cards or additional “deals” when I’ve been in for a massage. I’ve only been twice and it has happened both times. Last time I agreed to a prepaid membership to get a bonus massage (after a looong spiel from the front desk ladies trying to convince me this was the way to go). When I called a couple months later to schedule it, they told me my membership had expired by a few days. The receptionist said she’d talk to her manager to see what they could do and call me back within the hour. She never called back so I called again the next day and was told by the same receptionist “I think my manager said there’s nothing we can do”. I think?? Did you even talk to her? And if so, I’m very disappointed in the customer service that they would not honor the additional money I spent to receive those services because I missed the date by a few days. Unless things change, I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityI’ve been going to H&S in Menomonee Falls for about 6 months now. I’m a member so I get an hour long massage (a “credit”) once a month for ~$60 (and then tip). I also have the option for a facial but I haven’t tried it yet. They’re really flexible with the member credits. One time, I saved up 2 credits so my boyfriend and I could get a couples massage. I’ve had many different massage therapists, but I see Gary the most often. Each person has a slightly different style, but all of them are attentive to the places I need work the most! Great for people with TMJ pain issues like me. If you’re a female worried about going to a male massage therapist, just know that Gary is extremely respectful and will keep you completely covered unless he is specifically working on that area. Critical: Communication, ProfessionalismI went here to use a gift card that I had received. My total for my services were 199.90 and my gift card I received was for the exact amount, $199.90 (had the receipt with me.) I handed her the gift card when she told me my total. I then asked her if I could add a tip to a credit card. She went in the back and was talking to someone else. She came back out and said “your card was charged $40 for the upgrade. I said what upgrade? You told me my total was 199.90 and that’s exactly what was on the gift card. She explained that the gift card was for a certain package and I had upgraded the services. No where on the gift card or receipt of gift card did it mention a package. What is the difference if the package and my services were the same price?! The manager then came out from the back and said the same thing. I left not very happy only to get home and find they charged my card $60! I called and they said it was $40 for the upgrade and $20 for the tip. She told me before there was an issue my card was only charged $40. I told them to take the extra $20 off and she agreed but never did. I had to call my bank to get it reversed.I reached out to corporate the next day and the lady I dealt with there was even more rude and backed what they did 100%. She kept saying my gift card was for a certain package (again not written anywhere on the gift card or receipt that I had with me!)I don’t know if they were mad I didn’t buy products or sign up for their monthly service but I’m 9.5 months pregnant so will not be scheduling monthly massages or facials anytime soon. It sucks a relaxing day turned out to be so disappointing. I can not believe that a company runs a business like this.I went here to use a gift card that I had received. Critical: Professionalism, QualityMy massage was basically a RUB. He rubbed his hands up and down agressively and fast. Not relaxing at all. I could feel him go over knots, but never identified them or did anything. I have had a lot of massages, lots of different styles. This was something a 10 year old could do. I do not believe he had any professional training. When I got done, the front desk did not seem to care I was dumbfounded by my experience. She charged me full and the only reply was to imply it was my fault, i.e. asking if I had discussed with him the type of massage I wanted. I have heard nothing from any of them, even though I have let them know I was dissatisfied. They have my contact info. I should not have to try and get in touch with them. Completely unprofessional and there is no excuse for this.My massage was basically a RUB. He rubbed his hands up and down agressively and fast. Not relaxing at all.
