I was very disappointed. I scheduled a prenatal massage as I am 16 weeks pregnant. Yes I know they have to go a little softer but this massage was just terrible. After doing my back I laid on my back to finish the rest. There was no pressure at all it basically felt like I was being tickled. She did a very quick job and then she used a towel on my face and was scrubbing it. Made a little scab on my face bleed. The whole massage was only 42 minutes and I left there wasting a $120. I immediately went home and had to get in the spa and use the jets to give myself my own massage. Will never go back.

The ownership of this hand and stone is terrible. Poor customer service. All the good massage therapists and facial therapists have left under the ownership of this location. Now they are up charging you $5 more for eyebrow shaping vs a clean up. Last time I checked when someone wants their eyebrows done they want them cleaned up and shaped as this used to be standard practice. Prior to this they tried to get rid of waxing services all together unless you paired it with a facial. They just want more money out of you. Other locations do not do this.

First time getting a massage at Hand and Stone from the moment I booked the appt to the time I left the staff was so friendly and patient. Mildrey did my hot stone massage and it was the best massage I have ever had she was very attentive to my problem areas. After my massage I had a facial my Kelly she was very knowledgeable and took the time to ask me about my skin concerns and we came up with a plan for the future. Went today for my first time and paid $80 for a hour long massage. Worst massage I’ve ever had. Lady used one hand half the time and rushed through the entire thing. I ended up going in at 1:00 and leaving by 1:50. So the massage ended up being 45 mins and when mentioned to front desk didn’t say a word. Will never be coming back here.

Had a 90 minute massage yesterday. Everything from the check in process to the massage was lazy. Therapist asked me what area she should focus on only to ignore it. It seemed like she had no idea what she was doing. Literally think wax on wax off the entire massage. No focus on any area at all like she wasn’t paying attention. The absolute worst massage I’ve ever had. I left with more knots in my back then I arrived. I really had hope for this place since it’s local.

If you fancy a therapeutic massage or need rehabilitative therapy, I strongly suggest trying a different facility than Hand and Stone at the Coconut Shopping Center. I would consider myself a seasoned patron of deep tissue massages, and this ranked the worst of my many experiences. I notified the therapist about an existing injury and asked for special care in this area; what I received was a snide remark, along with a combative and argumentative attitude. In essence, my “therapist” was contradicting the diagnosis given to me by a board certified medical doctor who holds a specialty in orthopedic surgery. The entire massage continued along the same theme, working on areas which I specifically asked not to be done, with constant requests for me to get into positions which felt uncomfortable. I have never left a massage session feeling more irritable and anxious than I did walking in. The Naples/Bonita/Estero area offers a wide range of massage options – don’t succumb to the advertising pitch of this chain. Explore other options, any option besides this one.
