I’ve been a member of Hand and Stone for a year and love the convenience of being able to choose from any of their locations. I also like the option of being able to gift my sessions to others for a nominal transfer fee.

April gives a great massage. I became a member in April 2022 and return once a month. My neck and back are grateful.

I unfortunately got a really bad massage here. Today is my birthday and used a gift card. I asked for a hot stone massage with aroma therapy, and was really disappointed. The therapist started me on my stomach – which was weird. I asked her to please go a little firmer three times, and she did not. I felt as if she didn’t want to touch me. She just kept rubbing lotion on me, not touching the muscle at all…sigh :-(. I tried to schedule another massage with another therapist, and they didn’t have anyone available after 1p until the end of March…Its January. I am a member, but seriously thinking of canceling.

Incredibly kind and helpful staff. I was able to call and make a gift card purchase for a specific dollar amount instead of being forced to choose a specific service online (since I have no idea what she’ll want to experience and asking her would have ruined the birthday surprise).

I booked a facial with detox and foot treatment yesterday at the meadowmont village location. I arrived and was checked in and was taken back to a room. The lady told me she did not do feet to pick something else. She listed 2 other services so I did scalp massage. The scalp massage involved her soaking my head in peppermint smell that was sickening and petting my head not massaging at all. She did not extract any pimples. She said they didn’t look like pus. I went home and popped quite a few so untrue. The facial involved her putting 100 layers of cream on my face and calling it a day. When I got in the shower that night my face literally melted off. This experience was $200 and truly was not worth $25. I also called the location 4 times today to speak with a manger and not once has anyone picked up the phone or called me back

Received a gift card to H&S and was excited to schedule my hot stone massage. Facility was nice, clean, and front desk staff were friendly. The massage therapist was very nice though did most of my massage over the sheet and 20 minutes into the massage asked me which body part I wanted to skip as there would not be enough time to get to everything. I’ve had more massages than I can say all over the world and I’ve never had anyone ask me this before. Went in pain and left in pain. Wouldn’t return, but for folks that want an express massage just to relax and not for a therapeutic need this might be ok.

I visited Hand and Stone after being given a massage as a gift. I asked for an all-body massage, but several areas were missed, including some I specifically asked the masseuse to address. I found this rather perplexing and disappointing.

The massage was fine. I booked a 1 hour massage and paid extra to add on a head massage and add on aromatherapy to “spoil” myself for my birthday. The massage was only 50 minutes, not an hour, even with 2 add-ons. As I checked out (52 minutes after checking in) they told me add-ons don’t add time, they just change what the time is spent on! So I paid for 2 extra services that didn’t add any time, but took away time from my massage. They also stated that the “hour massage” included 5 minutes to discuss the massage and get undressed then 5 minutes to redress and debrief after. So I paid for 3 different services; 60 minute massage, add aromatherapy, and add head massage, but received only 50 minutes of service. I was so disappointed and politely expressed my disappointment at check-out. All I received was a “sorry you didn’t understand how it works.” Very disappointed, would not recommend.

The facility itself is nice and well kept. I paid for a 1 hour massage with a peppermint scalp massage add on for noon. I was taken into the room at 12:03 and the massage was done at 12:54. If you include the time to disrobe, the massage was about 47 minutes long. I let them know that I paid for a 1 hour massage and expected a one hour massage. I was told that the one hour included 10 minutes preparation time and 50 minutes of actual massage. If that is so it should be called a 50 minute massage. Also the peppermint scalp massage did not add time, it was addition by subtraction and the subtraction was minutes from the body massage.
