So disappointed in this location. I was gifted a free massage for the Cary location and thoroughly enjoyed it and decided to switch my membership from another establishment. Apex is so close to me I chose to have my membership here. It took me 3 tries to find a good massage therapist because the first 2 were not good at all. Then when I did find one, it was impossible to get appointments every month, and then they eventually left. I tried another therapist and he was worse. Literally yawned very loudly during my appointments. I decided to cancel my membership because it was very expensive and I wasn’t enjoying it. Financially my situation had changed and this just needed to be cut. I didn’t hear back from the manager in time, so I had to pay for another month. I paid, filled out the paperwork immediately, and then thought I was done. I already wasted money on that last month as I have no intention of using that credit. THEN they charged me for another month!! I’m sure you’ll respond to this review and ask me to email the manager whom I have already emailed… My advice if you cancel, change your credit card information before cancelling or cancel that card or they will just feel free to charge you as they feel like. Clearly the manager of this location can’t bother to file the proper paperwork on time

I’ve been going to this location for over 2 years back when we lived on this side of apex. the quality of the massage there has gone from decent/good to just plain BAD over the last year or so. My wife and i have had multiple massages there and never come away feeling like our time was well spent (much less our money).

I’ve been a customer at Hand and Stone for over 5 years. However, during the past year, customer service has been horrible. My reason for choosing H and S was that I never know what my schedule will be so I like to have a choice about when and where to book my facials. I do understand that each franchise is individually owned but the policies should be the same. However, I have found that each location has a completely different policy on just about everything, which results in lots of confusion. I think, too, that the high rate of employee turnover has added to this recently.

I signed up for the monthly package just prior to the pandemic, and of course I was not able to use it for several months. I get that. When they opened back up I had lots of credits to use so I booked a 90 minute massage with aromatherapy, hot stones, the works. It wasn’t until I arrived that I was told masks were required for the entire session. Ever enjoyed a massage when you are face down with your face covered? I declined and went home. When they no longer required masks I rebooked. Except when I arrived it seems the policy had changed but no one contacted me. I went home.

First time “client”. Two days before my appointment I received a call that the therapist was ill and they had to reschedule. The day of the 2nd appointment and hour before I received a call that the therapist had a flat and would have to reschedule again. Third appointment day I received a call that the therapist was supposed to be off that day but they hadn’t blocked off her calendar for booking appointments. I didn’t reschedule this time and won’t be using this place. One star is being generous.
