This place is amazing! I wish I could give them more that 5 stars. I had some majorly difficult life events and Kate at the front desk made sure to make me feel supported and cared for. She went above and beyond. She alone makes this place worth it. But on top of that Sara my massage therapist is super amazing, she reads me like a book and knows what i need to have worked on. It feels amazing to have people care so much about me in all aspects. They also have helped realize the importance of self care tasks. I cannot recommend them enough!!!!

Definitely call ahead, due to Covid-related issues that all businesses are still facing as well as the spa’s popularity, it’s sometimes difficult to find a time to fit with your schedule. BUT as someone who is generally uncomfortable in situations like this, I actually had a great experience and would say it is worth any wait. My massage therapist, Sara, was great! She first asked me exactly what I needed and was looking for. Not to mention she has a great personality that made me feel comfortable and diminished any anxiety! I highly recommend Sara and the spa in general 🙂

These people are the greatest con artists. My best friend gave me a gift card for 1 of their massages as a birthday gift, session was good but the push on sales is extreme, I told them I would think about it, next thing I know I am being charged for a membership I didn’t sign nor agreed to. I call and the girl refuses to listen to and sends me an email to cancel a membership I didn’t agree to. Horrible. Beware.

I’m disappointed to see the level of care from your receptionist go down hill so quickly! The short answers and general annoyance at my questions came as a surprise since giving Hand and Stone a second chance. I’m terminating my membership based on the receptionist I spoke with earlier today and there are no appointments i can schedule till March. Even with terminating my membership, i was informed my Credit Card will still be charged at the end of January! Even if i can not book an appointment. This was the one thing I looked forward to every month as a mother. Just an hour away to myself but I guess I’ll be checking out other businesses in the area.

The customer service at the front and technician, Gracie was good. My underarm waxing was fantastic!However, I also went in for an upgraded facial, Phototherapy, and expected a few more machines like I had ALWAYS experienced at another Hand and Stone.

I pay a monthly membership just to be told I can’t get an appointment for MONTHS! The front desk girls are by far the rudest people I’ve ever spoke to especially the young girl. I will be canceling my membership and also get told my card gets charged for another month after wanting to cancel. Should have stayed with massage envy.

I’m debating to keep my membership. The first facial I had here was outstanding! I have not seen that professional since. I do not care for the sales pitches after I am in the massage room. I call and book what I want completed, what I would like to pay for and it’s so uncomfortable having to spend ten minutes discussing upgrades. I said no twice and the third time I caved because of the tension I felt. After taking off work, arranging baby sitting and getting some time to relax I’m disappointed I spent a 1/4 of my relax time going back and forth about upgrades. And then spending more than budgeted to avoid awkwardness.

Hand and stone linked my credit card to someone else’s profile then proceeded to charge my card for someone else’s massage. Luckily I saw the charge to my account and called into the office to ask for my refund.. 3 months later and I’m still waiting. The manager told me she would mail me the check and I would receive it soon…still waiting. Since I have been told that the manager will reach out to me, which she did not. I was told by one of the ladies in the office that the manager had to ask the owner of the location to approve the refund. I AM STILL WAITING. What a JOKE. What owner of a business would wait this long to approve a wrongful charge? Get it together people. Issue my refund. Be careful if u decide to go to hand and stone. Apparently they have no control over their business.

I purposely signed up for their monthly membership. Between the hand work and yard work that I do, it is important for me to have a monthly massage. The gals at the front desk are efficient and as sweet as can be. I’ve had several massages by a variety of the massage therapists – each different, but all left me feeling wonderful. Hand and Stone in Kernstown is a very relaxing place to be!
