My husband was treating me to a facial for my birthday and I saw the first time discount and decided to give it a try. I am very happy with the service I received. Front desk was very professional and pleasant and Alex (for short) did my facial and she was very professional and did her job well. I felt very relaxed and taken care of. She analyzed my skin and was able to tell me what services would be best for my skin and she let me know the best routine to do at home. There was just enough conversation to where it wasn’t too much but enough to get acquainted and comfortable. I added a few upgrades to my facial such as the NuFace Micro current, LED Rejuvenating facial, and foot and hand treatment. I can already see the difference with my skin and it looks so fresh! I will be coming back as often as I can afford!

I had a massage treatment on December 31st and the therapist was wonderful. However, the business practice of Hand and Stone in Manassas is seriously shady. First their tipping system is way too pushy. Instead of simply allowing the customer to tip as they see fit, they have this prompt that says if your therapist was great suggested tip is $25, if they were excellent $35. My therapist was excellent, but tipping almost 50% is ridiculous – pay your staff better. Then I tried to cancel my membership and just like many other reviewers have mentioned, i was told only the manager could do that and would be in touch. I hadn’t heard back in 3 days so I called. Still the manager was not available and i was told my account was pending so it was impossible to cancel without the fee being charged. They said they’d send a cancellation form via email – have yet to receive it. Yes the individual therapist was wonderful, but this is one shady business and I will never set foot in that place again and neither will I recommend it to anyone!

This place has bad customer service. I was trying to get some facial cleaning. I was a walked in. They have the doors locked. After waiting for 15 mins a black lady came out. She said “ are you looking for someone” I said I’m new and I’m looking for service. I showed her my face and my bad breakout. I followed with a question and asked her if she works there her answer was “ maybe I work here” I had left a voicemail and got a call back. It was the receptionist. I asked her who is that lady she said the owner/ manager. I just want you to know that’s not how you treat a new customer. I might be just one person but I could of brought an entire village…terrible

People book massage sessions for a lot of different reasons, but I’m sure most, if not all people agree that at the very least it should be relaxing. That my case. My massage therapist (name withheld), a petite Caucasian lady with dark hair who could pass for Hispanic. This woman would not stop talking no matter the signals I sent. I’m having a massage, it is supposed to be a tranquil setting. I really and absolutely do not want to engage in unnecessary conversation, especially not one that involves bad-mouthing your coworkers. Utter nonsense and I’m not that person. She proceeds to make irresponsible and insensitive comments about cultures.”Is Africa a jungle?” “When I think of Mexico I think of cartels and people getting shot in the desert”. I went here because I got a gift card from a friend and it was one of the worst spa experiences of my life. I think it’s silly to complain about a spa experience because you’re getting pampered but at the same time I don’t normally get one so when I go I’d like it to be special.
