I am very very disappointed with the new management at Hand and Stone on Kirkwood. I joined here before COVID and regularly saw Nikki who is absolutely phenomenal. Unfortunately, since COVID like most businesses, they are short staffed so it became more and more difficult to get an appointment, especially when you were day Monday through Friday. Since I was having such hard time getting an appointment, I decided to cancel my membership. I worked with one of the girls at the desk to use up the many points that I had accrued before they expired, since I was having such a hard time using them. Last Saturday was supposed to be my last appointment. I got a call on Thursday telling me that it was the last day I could use my points and that I would be paying for it on my own on Saturday. As I had been assured by the girl making the appointments, as well as the person working at the desk when I was in last month for a massage, that my points would cover my massage and that they wouldn’t expire by then, I was very upset and asked to speak to a manager. I was put through to the assistant manager who told me that there was nothing she could do for me and I would have to speak to the manager on Saturday so I had to cancel my appointment. On Saturday morning I tried a couple times to call and speak to the manager and was told she was away and that she would call me back but I never heard anything. I had been contemplating renewing my membership because Nikki is so good but after this there is no way I would even consider it. I’m very disappointed as this used to be such a good place to go for a massage.

Worst costumer service! I have been with this hand and stone since 2015 and have never had any problems. Now that a new owner took over, they changed rules. Due to their changes I lost about $500 worth of services! When trying to resolve the issue, I was told that “the computer won’t let them fix it” and that there was nothing they could do. They basically dismissed me when I have been a loyal costumer for 7 years!! Be aware that these people do not put costumers first!

I was offered a different price for the membership when signing up, but was charged more after. After multiple calls and messages, i finally got a hold of an employee and was told that the manager would call back the next day. Its been a week and i just called and got a hold of the manager. The manager refused to refund me and made me pay for this month despite cancelling the service. She asked me who i spoke to and i didn’t recall but did tell her to investigate by looking at the sign up form. She completely disregarded that suggestion and flat out said it doesn’t matter because she is not going to fix it. So i basically was scammed into signing up. The worst part is that even though it was their mistake, there was no apologies or follow up. The manager’s lackadaisical attitude and tone deaf is laughable

I have been a member of Hand Stone for many years The service recently had not met my expectations. I tried different locations and have to say Kirkwood location won me over again I booked a 90 minutes it was so clean and organized and the staff was very welcoming when I arrived. I booked 90 minutes with Erik and was well greeted he cared about my needs and during massage kept ensuring I was doing ok. I loved the hot towel treatment in the middle of the massage. I have been to many masseurs even higher scale salons Erick by far knows what he is doing he was tuned in on my body and worked all my trouble areas it showed he truly enjoys what he is doing. Being only 1 year from school he already supercedes other masseurs with skill and techniques that have many more years experience. Definitely Erik is my regular masseur

My first visit to the Spa for a massage with Eric, who I have to say is absolutely wonderful, he takes his time, asks questions and makes you feel so relaxed and comfortable. The ambience in the room is just perfect and very clean. I will definitely be back!!
