I got a “massage” from Jeanne tonight. It was absolutely horrible!! What I got was an excessive oil rub down, NOT a massage. I asked her to apply more pressure, that did not happen. She literally rubbed oil on my entire body, zero pressure applied. Extremely disappointing to pay $104 for that pink Himalayan salt stone “massage.” This place came highly recommended. But DO NOT book if they try to schedule you with Jeanne. I will definitely not be returning. At those prices it is not worth a trial and error…AND she left the hot towel on the counter for ME to wipe the excess oil off of my body myself. Very disappointing experience!!

Love this place!! Both Newark & Bear areas are great! Currently dealing with an injury but as soon as possible I’ll be making my appointment for a massage and I can’t wait. I’m long overdue, lol. A fantastic experience, with friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Recommend highly!! 🙂

I went to this massage place for the first time in October. It has a beautiful lobby/atmosphere, great customer service at the front desk & the masseuse was lovely! She was very detail-oriented & she cared about my entire experience from beginning to end. I was treated with respect & kindness the entire time. I will be back.

Let me start by saying I get a great massage. I have troubles with the billing end. I have been double charged twice and have called to speak to a manager six times and have yet to receive a phone call back. I am informed it takes 24 hours to get a phone call back but I think over two months is more than enough time.

First they pressure you to sign up for a membership. Later when you cancel they don’t inform you of the 60 day window to use the remaining services but also lock you in for an additional month. They have you agree to something in email. Later we tried to work this out with management but they gave us about 2 minutes and repeated its in the paperwork and did not want to assist in any other way. We had been moving out of state originally and my wife was pregnant. Zero stars for management as Im sure they had the power to reconcile this.

I had a hot stone massage on Tuesday July 26, 2022 and unfortunately the masseuse spent about half my 50 minute massage adjusting the blanket covering me and moving around the table. The length of time she spent on each body area was short and the transition time to the next area rather long. 🙁

I’m annoyed by this company as a whole. I went to the Wilmington location twice to show up have my appointment canceled when I got there and I live 1hr35 min away from there. I came here to the Newark location which is 1hr and 5 min away and the doors are locked. They open at 9 my appointment is at 10. Another day of gas and tolls wasted and I work overnight so I came straight from work an hour drive just to turn right back around and drive another hour for nothing. I am canceling my membership there’s no benefit no matter what location I go to. Middletown and Bear are always booked for months on end so my packages just keep building up because I can’t get an appointment or the people just don’t come to work I don’t know what the issue is but I do know they just built a Massage Envy 5 minutes from where I live so I will be checking them out

This place has some serious issues with keeping staff. The last 3 appointments I have had got canceled and can’t be rescheduled till weeks later. And they wondered why I canceled my monthly membership….. Can’t even get a massage monthly cause of the cancellations!!

I am only leaving a two star review instead of a one star because of the amazing service I have received here. This is in regards to joining their monthly membership service. In January of this year I had reached out to Hand and Stone to discuss terminating my membership. I was told on the phone in January that I would lose my services so instead of cancelling I should use them or have my friends use them before the next billing period. I was told they would pay $10 for the transfer service and several of my friends took advantage of that. When I called in February to ensure that my membership was cancelled I was made aware of documents that needed to be signed that no one ever told me about in my previous termination discussions. I requested those documents and was told someone from Management would contact me back to discuss payment. No phone call received, no forms sent to me via email, but they sure as hell took my money with no problem. I call back today to make sure everything is taken care of and am told that they will send the paperwork, still charge me another month, and that my services are still available for another 90 days. If I had known that last point than I would have cancelled immediately instead of waiting for my friends to transfer their services around so I didn’t waste my money. This was one of my favorite places in Suburban Plaza and I will not go back now. They need to improve communication and find a Management team that can do their job and follow through when their team says they will.
