Great new facility in North East area! Reception area is calm and always clean. The receptions are welcoming enough. Had 2 swedish massages on 2 different occasions. My first experience wasn’t as great and the masseuse was inexperienced. The overall experience was fantastic with my second masseuse who clearly had been doing this longer. The experience band between the two was drastic so it will matter who you get.

The massage itself and my massage therapist, Sunny, were wonderful. However, the reception staff leaves a lot to be desired. I was provided with a $110 gift card. I booked a 50 minutes massage at the introductory rate ($70) and added aromatherapy ($10) and a foot treatment ($25) when I booked the massage on August 30th. Upon arriving, I noticed a VERY small sign saying that the rates were being increased on September 1st, but no indication of what the new rates were. I had to tell my therapist that I had added the aromatherapy and foot treatment as she had not been informed. When I went to depart, I was told that I owed an additional $41. I didn’t argue or become angry, I simply told the reception person that I was paid in full because I had used a $110 gift card. He tried to bring up the fact that I had received a foot treatment which was $30. I told him, no, when I booked the massage, the foot treatment was $25 and the aromatherapy was $10. He was quiet for a few moments looking at “something” on the computer. I then mentioned that, as I had never been to a Hand and Stone Spa before, my massage was booked at the discounted Introductory Price. They also had a sign directly outside of their door advertising the Introductory Price. I had not brought anything with me to cover additional payments with me as my $110 gift card covered everything with extra to spare. I did not like feeling stressed immediately after my relaxing massage. Eventually, the reception person said in a begrudging tone “You’re fine. You can go.” No apology or anything. I will NEVER return to another Hand and Stone Spa. As my previous spa just closed permanently, I was looking for a replacement. Guess I’ll keep looking.

The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because upon arrival I was buzzed in and the front desk staff was a bit too obnoxious and playful for it to be a spa. I expected my entire experience to be peaceful from start to end and they took me out of my Zen for a second. They were so loud that someone peaked out of an office and told them to keep it down because she was on a call. My Masseuse was amazing. Her name was Tia. She asked me how the pressure was several times throughout. I didn’t feel rushed or uncomfortable at any time. I left feeling rejuvenated and very sleepy. Lol It was so amazing that I decided to join the club.

I’m so upset! I’m been to the one on Grant a few times never had a problem but now that the cottman one is open I live closer so I wanna to give it a try.first I had made an appointment online the day before for 11 they also called me back to ask for my gift card number and to confirm. When I went in today they said they didn’t have an appointment for me also saying that sometimes there online appointments don’t go through (then why continued to have online appointments) and I explained to them that someone called to confirm it they didn’t know what I was talking about and they said there was nothing they could do. What makes it worse it’s my day off work had to pay a babysitter to watch my kids for this appointment!! I’m not happy at all

I was really looking forward to my facial here and was super disappointed. I’ve had facials a handful of times before and this was the most expensive and least relaxing/indulging one I’ve had. Not sure if it was the location or the woman who provided the facial but either way – don’t waste your time and money coming here.

I bought a gift card from Cottman Avenue hand and Stone and first of all my wife got there. She was directed to another hand in stone on Grant Avenue. She came home meaner than she left. She told me they have no paper towels, no toilet paper and asked about a tip when she had already gave him a tip. Bad business I wish I could get my money back
