The way this spa handled memberships during the pandemic was appalling. I had 8 services in my account and wanted to pause it when covid hit, they would only pause it for a continued monthly fee. Considering there was a worldwide pandemic I did not agree to paying a continued monthly fee for who knows how long so I canceled my membership and was told I could use the services when they reopened and I was comfortable coming back. When I did return I was told all of my services had expired 90 days after they reopened. I’m sorry but I was not comfortable getting a massage in a private room in April- June of 2020. It was not until I was able to be vaccinated that I returned to being comfortable in a tiny spa room. The fact that they could care less about their members health or safety concerns when other places went above and beyond to honor services and gift cards well past expiration dates was extremely disappointing. The worst part is that these are services myself and others paid for. A pre paid service should not be allowed to expire, especially when the member is willing to reactivate the like I was (I truly enjoyed their massage therapists and front desk staff and was happy to reactivate my membership!). All I wanted was for my services that I had paid for to be brought back to current. I have contacted the bucks county consumer protection department and the Attorney General and they agree this needs to be looked into further. I encourage anyone with the same issue to do the same thing.

Terrible experience. Did not inform they don’t take card for tips. Charged my sister for a deep tissue when she didn’t receive a deep tissue massage. Gave us a hard time about her transferring massage to me when she was trying to gift it to me.

I feel bad for the massage therapists and employees working at this facility.Cash only for tip. The recommendation was that I go to an ATM after my massage for cash. Not on my to do list after a relaxing massage! Business tip. Inform on the phone or pass along to consumer in the form of a credit card processing fee.

I have a great solution for those who are tired of poor service with the manager at Newtown Hand and Stone! She refused to let me leave a tip for the therapist claiming people who leave checks do not have the funds to clear and H&S only takes cash (??!) despite the fact I have left checks for years with no issue – the Warrington H&S is TERRIFIC ! Flexible FRIENDLY and know how to service the customer – they accept cash, CHECK, CREDIT CARD for convenience ! They are aware of the poor management in Newtown already and ready and willing to accept new customers.
