I booked a one hour deep tissue with Ariana and she was amazing! She applies deep but very relaxing pressure with amazing results! The spa itself is really nice and clean. The front desk folks are very professional! I will definitely be back!

I usually go for messages since being pregnant. I decided to try this location since it is closer to my home. I was disappointed. The lady who did my prenatal message was unprofessional. Not what I’m used to with Hand and Stone. There was no prep for the room, and the comments from this woman during the session regarding my body were inappropriate. There was a mention of my thighs and breast, which was highly unprofessional. I will not return to this location.

Went to Hand and Stone with the intention that I was going to join their membership program. I always check my watch to make sure that I am getting the time I should get for my service. I walked in at 4:10 and was taken to the room at 4:17 for a 4:15 appointment for a 50 minute facial. I was done and dressed to go by 4:50. This is not even close to a 50 minute facial. I’m very upset that I actually gave her a tip. I am going to contact them again and if they don’t do anything about this, I will join somewhere else. I feel like she was annoyed right from the beginning about me not agreeing to an up charge of service she offered me. To be continued with names if they don’t do what’s right.

Do not believe all of the 5 star ratings. They are crooks. They charged me for a service without me even stepping foot into the location. They trick you into making an appointment at their location when they can tell from system which location a customer normally frequents. I made a very honest mistake and booked at this location instead of the location that I normally go to. When I got to my location they were able to inform me that I had made a reservation at the wrong location. When I informed the Commack location that I needed to reschedule with my regular cosmetician I was told that I would still be charged half of the fee because at this point I was considered a no show. I am a member of Hand and Stone for over a year, one would think that they would not treat members like this regardless of the home location. I can’t believe that corporate allows this type of behavior. Do yourself a favor and choose a different location. There are many in the area.

Horrendous experience! My husband booked me a facial for our anniversary. On the morning of my facial, I woke up not feeling well, took a Covid test and found out I was positive. We called right away to cancel and reschedule the service. We left a message as the store was not yet opened. To my surprise, they called us back to tell us that they’d still be charging us 50% of the service cost. I offered a doctors note and of course to rebook the service. Nope. They didn’t care. Was told that this is their policy. Never mind that my husband was not informed of this policy at the time of booking. What should I have done differently? Come in with COVID so I didn’t pay for a service not received? Infect their staff? Not only do they not care about their customers, they have zero regard for their own employees. Disgusting. Clearly they are just money hungry.

I treated my 92 year old mom to a facial on her birthday.. She couldn’t have been happier. Everyone was friendly and my mom loved the woman who gave her the facial. This location in Commack was clean and welcoming!

Critical: Professionalism, QualityIF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD GLADLY! They are so fast to charge you for random fees without telling you. I was a member for over a year paying monthly and they started charging me extra for every massage, it took me 12 phone calls and 4 times to go in to get my account finally cancelled. When I thought it was finally cancelled…I got charged again. Would never recommend to anyone!IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD GLADLY! Critical: Communication, ProfessionalismI have been a customer almost since they first opened. Unfortunately, due to covid I was not able to come in as I have a medical condition which put me at extremely high risk of developing serious complications should I contract COVID. In fact, I was at such high risk that my employer allowed me to work from home for the entire year. Additionally, I was not able to go shopping so all of my groceries were delivered to my home. I just went back to work last month. I called today, excited to finally be able to get a long awaited facial. Liz, the store manager told me that I am unable to use my gift card as it has expired. I tried to explain to her my extenuating circumstances and even offered to provide proof of my medical condition and the fact that due to my condition I had to stay home until last month. She did not care to hear it. She just said that they extended the cards for 3 months and that is all they were willing to do. I understand that there are rules and policies. However, considering that this was the worst health crisis this country has ever seen in my lifetime, coupled with the fact that I have a medical condition where I my doctor said I couldn’t even go to work, I would think that an exception could be made for a long time loyal customer. It is unconscionable that, after all we have been through this past year and a half, this company would make me decide between losing out on facial that I paid for, or putting my health in jeopardy. It is obvious that (at least the Commack store) Hand and Stone massage cares more about their bottom line than their loyal customers. With all of the choices for facials and massages, I will be taking my business, as well as the business of my many friends and family elsewhere.I have been a customer almost since they first opened.
