Critical: Communication, Professionalism, QualityI have been given hand and stone gift cards for the past two christmases. I decided for my mother’s birthday to give her a gift card for a massage since I enjoyed it so much. When I went to hand and stone in bayshore, I asked the pricing for a 1 hour massage I was told it would be $119, I asked if there were any introductory prices being that my mom was a new client going in for her first massage, I was told to come back for Black Friday , being her birthday was October that didn’t work. Today when she arrived for her massage she was told the massage was only going to be $80 the introductory price…. When asked if she could use the remaining money for another service she was told no because all the money had been used on the massage. When I called to question this I was transferred to three different people until I got the owner Michael Mirabella. He told me she received the introductory price and there was no money left over. I was hung up on by Mr. Mirabella. I decided to go there and speak to him in person. I was told I didn’t buy a cash card I bought a service card … I didn’t even know there were two different types of cards because the girls who sold me the card failed to mention that. He said that’s only for certain people who can’t afford the full price massage. With that things got heated and his front desk girl recorded me and my mother on her phone and laughed about it calling us crazy. The front desk knows nothing about the services they offer and they are so unprofessional !!! Never go to this place!!! In the end I laid out an extra $39 dollars for my mother to get introductory price and I lost out on $39. Long story short please don’t get scammed at hand and stone!!! Michael Mirabella and his staff are the worstI have been given hand and stone gift cards for the past two christmases.
