I purchased a membership for my girlfriend for Valentine’s Day 2022. I was told the membership would allow my girlfriend to come in for massages free of charge. This was not the case. The massages were still expensive even with the membership. We found out we were pregnant a month into her membership so we cancelled in April after only one massage. They informed us we still had to pay May’s membership, even though we wouldn’t be using the massages. I realized in November my credit card was still being charged monthly. I have called this location 10 times over the last 2&1/2 months, so far I’ve been refunded 5 of the 6 months and was just told the final refund was issued 6 days ago and would hit my account 7-10 business days after it was issued. I have been told numerous times the location manager would call me back only to have to call back myself. I’ve talked to the manager one time when I went into the location to clear everything up before I received any of my refunds. She told me she would call me later that day and never did. Terrible experience at this location.

5 stars for the best esthetician there, Rachael but if I could give 0 stars for front desk, I would. Always issues with scheduling, and never return calls. I once called on a Sunday, left a message and actually got a call back (I know real shocker there). Rescheduled for let’s say Thursday. Get a call Tuesday saying they got my message over the weekend and when did I want to reschedule for? I explained that I already did and they proceeded to argue with me that there’s nothing on the schedule. Well, they put another client of Rachael’s with the same name as me in for that day but still. If I called on a Sunday and left a message, this person really thought Tuesday was an acceptable day to call to reschedule the original Tuesday appointment?!? I feel like that would be super frustrating for the massage therapists and estheticians. I don’t think the front desk really communicates with each other and can’t even imagine the disconnect between them and the employees performing these services. I like the facility but they all need to get on the same page imo. That’s why I’m still giving 5 stars. It’s not the esthetician’s fault for a poorly ran front desk.

Lynae should get 5 stars, the front desk ZERO stars. I was on line making an appointment and my phone rang telling me I can’t have the 2 pm appointment but I could have the 3 pm appointment. I’m sorry I can’t click as fast as your staff, but if they SAW me scheduling for 2pm I obviously wanted the 2 pm not the 3 pm. Why was the other person not offered the 3 pm?? When I arrived for my appointment I was not greeted for at least 10 minutes, not even a head nod when I came in the door. Checking out was a joke. I have an appointment I’m going to cancel because it was too much trouble for your staff to help me find an appointment with Lynae that worked fir both of us, the girl at the desk had something very important going on on her phone. It has taken me 2 years to even use the gift cards I have because noone ever answers the phone, just like now when I’m trying to call and cancel my appointment.

Clean facility with talented massage therapists and lots of options for enhancements and other services. Reservations highly recommended as this location is busy. The front desk staff changes pretty frequently and some have been better than others. The main reason my rating isn’t higher is because I signed up for the membership when it was $60/month and they raised the price without grandfathering me in. When I had asked the front desk person about it she was very rude and told me “they don’t do that” in a blunt and irritated voice. I know several other people who visit multiple Hand and Stone locations who did this for their members but this location did not. I have been struggling on whether or not to keep my membership because of this.

Hand and Stone is overpriced for the services they provide. Office staff and management are difficult to get into contact and haven’t returned my phone calls on more than one occasion. Appointments are canceled last minute and rescheduled, only to be canceled again. It should be known that during this time I was also a member- in my previous experiences members are typically given quality care, but not here! A month later and I am still receiving charges on my credit card for a canceled membership. I will not be returning to any Hand and Stone franchise in the future and do not recommend this location to someone seeking serenity and relaxation. Hand and Stone Cherry Hill offers quite the opposite effect.

I have mixed feelings about my latest visit so I’m not sure if I feel comfortable giving this location my business moving forward. I was discussing other services with my esthetician and she asked that I do not book her because it sounded like it would just be too much of a task basically to fulfill the service for me. I thought that I had built a good rapport with her, and was saddened and disappointed that she actually stated multiplies times for me not to book her for specific services that she performs. That truly put a damper on my experience.
