I love how nice, clean and fresh this location looks. Much better then a location I previously visited. I enjoyed the fact that I wasn’t pushed into purchasing any products. I’ve experienced other places pressuring you to purchase whatever they use on your face. Everyone was very welcoming and inviting. The room was the perfect temperature and the girl was very friendly.

I feel as though this location started out amazing during the pandemic then has progressively gotten worse and worse within time. I will be cancelling my membership! It is not worth it to pay $950 a year for rude, unprofessional and inadequate service. Service was amazing up until January 2022, when I book appointments over the phone it used to be no longer than a 5 minute hold, now its every longer with the chance of getting hung up on, very disrespectful. Also, I ran into an issue the passed 3 months, I wanted to confirm an appointment because I usually get a confirmation text and had not been receiving one, so I called and kept getting hung up on, I even drove all the way to this physical location in Manalapan, just for them to tell me I had no appointment. I have a friend who works at another location and she was saying how they recently hired a whole bunch of new receptionists, that is great but please teach your staff some respect! Everytime I walk in or call, I either get dirty looks by the front staff or I am hung up with on the phone. Also, a few months ago, I went in for a facial, I asked for a specifoc person and they gave me someone else and the lady was saying how it is her first month on the job. I told her to just avoid extractions near my lips, as that area is sensitive, she then proceeds to extract in that area and tells me she pulled a whole extraction on my lip. I look into a mirror and freak out because that specific area I have had some skin issues with in the past. She said, “it needed to be done!” I really do not apprecite the way that she went against my wishes. All my previous massages/facials in 2020/ some in 2021 were amazing! And always so professional, it seems as time goes by so does the quality unfortunately.

I got my first facial ever from Hand and Stone with May and it was just an amazing experience from the time I got there until the time I left! Everyone was so kind and friendly and made me feel welcomed and comfortable. May did an amazing job with my facial, made it feel personal and truly left my skin feeling refreshed and clean! Definitely recommend this Hand and Stone and May for facials!

I really battled with myself to write this review, because I only like leaving nice reviews if I can help it….but overall, Hand & Stone, you can do better. I was a regular at Howell for a few years, loved it, never had an issue. The team there was outstanding. I just moved to this area and my experience thus far has fallen way short from the Howell location. The positives: the location is always quiet, pleasant, and it’s in a very convenient spot. The negatives, the staff seems inconsistently trained. It all depends on who you get when you get them. And some of them aren’t friendly. I will say that Rayna (may be spelling it wrong, sorry!) deserves 5 stars for her customer service and amazing personality. She was the brightest light for me so far. She has it together. I used Casey, unfortunately she left the business and I was never notified that my appointment was cancelled on me. “Lucky for me”, I went in to purchase a gift package for someone else and ‘confirmed my upcoming appt w/Casey and that’s when Rayna informed me that she no longer works there and I should have been notified that my appointment was cancelled. Welp..I wasn’t. She tried everything in her power to get me in with another therapist that worked in my time frame, but the one I wanted was booked out for a bit. For all my troubles, I was upgraded to have an add on and to try someone else in the interim. I wasn’t really won over w/that therapist. She was pleasant enough…..but I didn’t enjoy her style. PLUS but my add on was a scalp massage, to which I asked for lavender. I didn’t realize until her hands were already on me that she was using eucalyptus, which I hate….so…..such is my luck I guess. No Casey, no lavender….and I’ll see what happens on my next massage next month with another ‘new’ therapist….If this doesn’t work out, I’ll be cancelling my membership….or driving down to Howell.
