I was hoping to receive knowledgeable advice and customer service from employees / manager (Jane) however “there isn’t much they can do”. I’ve been a customer for some time there receiving microdermabrasions and massages and I missed 1 appointment and I’ve been banned. Working in customer service for over 10 years I never heard a manager say that they can’t do anything. What’s exactly are you managing if you can find any solutions. I used to like this place but I wouldn’t even give it one star.

BUYER BEWARE! Bought gift cards last year from Hand and Stone Emerson last year on Black Friday. It was a BOGO offer. Their policy is if you purchase on 11/26 during their offer the one you get “free” expire exactly 1 year later. They don’t even start the clock on Christmas when these cards will most likely be given as gifts. So if you bought cards for gifts during one of their BOGO promotions make sure the recipient knows they only have 11months or less to use it. Why offer a product that people will probably be using as gifts with a limited time period to use it at all. They could easily put expiration dates on the gift envelopes but chose not to. I guess this is a money maker for them. Shame on Hand and Stone.

If you could give a negative 5 star review I would. I haven’t even made it for the appointment and they’ve lost me as a customer. I was given a gift card for a couple’s massage. I called to schedule the appointment, and based on the schedule, I had to wait 4 weeks for my appointment which was ok. 2 days before my appointment I received a call informing me that they had staffing issues and could not accommodate me. Again I had to wait 4 weeks for my appointment. 2 days prior to my appointment I received a call stating that I needed to provide a credit card to the facility and when I questioned why I was told it was “for Incidentals” and that my appointment would have to be rescheduled without this information. I stated that I had a gift card and was told it didn’t matter, this was their company policy. I explained to her that I was driving on the highway and would call back when I got to my destination with the information and was told that if I could not give it to her at that moment, per her manager speaking to her in the background, my appointment would be canceled. This is very poor customer service. I spoke to 2 people and neither of them asked for a credit card, so to ask me for a credit card on the third contact is very shady, and then to not give me an hour to call back is just unprofessional.
