Critical: QualityI went last week with my mother to use groupons for highlight, trim, deep conditioning, and a wash. I say down and the lady seemed unhappy from the get go. I have very long thick hair, so I did apologize because I know my hair can be a bit of a pain. I didn’t catch her name, she barely talked to me at all. But I had the short asian lady who works in the first station behind the counter. She was very rough pushing my head around to be where she wanted me, pulling my hair all over, etc. When we got to the wash the water was really cold which actually felt good simply because of how bad she made my scalp hurt. But she failed to get all the product out. When we went to comb and dry my hair the real nightmare began. She asked how do I comb my hair. And seemed to not know what “It’s a 10” spray detangler is or Wet brush. Both pretty common or popular products to my knowledge. She seemed to not know what detangler was at all when I asked! She started at my roots, working one handed and just dragging down. No attempt to hold my hair to prevent pulling it out. She eventually gave up as I tried not to cry and had me comb the other side of my head while she tried to blowdry the matted mess she had created. I ended up walking out with half dry, matted hair. I had to go to another salon right after and fork over 40$ to get my hair rewashed, to get the bleach and other products out, detangled and combed out. As well as retrimmed because the original trim was uneven and my hair was so damaged. I lost probably 4 inches of hair when I only meant to lose an inch or so. I have a patches of totally white hair that’s damaged and fragile. One segment near my face is 4 inches shorter than the rest but thankfully it has a gradient and I can hide it in the rest of my hair.
