I did a Japanese Hair Straightening here and I love the results. I really appreciated the care and attention that was shown me. The staff were all so kind and I’m grateful. I’m black with 4B hair and so I was concerned. However the method they used which was also followed by a keratin treatment and a trim gave me great results. I can’t wait to be back for a touch-up. Thanks again!

Critical: QualityI have been going to the salon for 12 years. Initially when I began going here it was amazing, it was owned by a beautiful Korean young lady who owned a dog and it was so high class and Boujee. I have noticed over the years that it has definitely changed in quality. The prices were still the same and the atmosphere is definitely great. However, the quality of professionalism and work staff has definitely taken a down grade. My second to last experience here was last February when a young gentleman who was very polite, did my hair and I noticed that his technique was a little off and he was super slow. My hair turned out a bit curly on the ends and I thought to myself okay I’m definitely not going to let him do my hair again. I thought I’d try them one last time because I’d been coming to the salon for so long. I made an appointment literally two weeks ago to do my hair I specifically asked for one girl who I thought was good. She tried to act like the gentleman that she was working with was not the same gentleman that worked on my hair in February, she said verbatim, “oh I don’t think he’s working today”. However, I am not blind… I was so irritated that she thought I was an idiot, that was the same person that worked on my hair in February. So even though I requested that a specific person do my hair they don’t follow instructions and accommodate the client. I of course had to tell them I did not want him to do my hair which not only embarrassed me but I’m sure the gentleman himself. I am not a mean person, I found that very unprofessional. Unfortunately, The job that was done was not at all the way my hair once used to look when I would do a level D for the new keratin. So the last $400 that I spent this year went down the drain because they did not do the job correctly. I was left with curls at my roots my whole bottom layer is wavy, I remember waking up and having my hair super straight and gorgeous years ago. The texture is oily and I see waves and curls at the roots and at the end. I’m so disappointed. They just lost a customer of 15 years. You guys need to train your workers better and accommodate your clients that are faithful to your salon. You have a gorgeous salon, however you need to listen to your clients. Your clients are the ones that bring in the money for you. I got them I want to say five new clients. My friend also said that her hair was oily they just lost all of their clients.I hope this teaches you guys a big lesson, quality is everything. I know I’m a sound some sort of way to all of you, but in reality this is business and no one is going to want to do their hair there if they’re not getting quality services.I have been going to the salon for 12 years. I have been coming here for a very long time and I have noticed the past 3 visits my hair (Brazilian type D) lasts for 1/2 the amount of time, if that. I have always recommended and sent all of my friends because it lasted so long and was done perfectly. I thought it was me the first time, but after the second and third, I realized I was going back way more often than I had the past ten years. I’m not sure if the product is different. Unfortunate, because they used to be the best but although they say formaldehyde free I do not believe this is the case and I am not looking to add more treatments through out the year.

I like how this salon caters to all hair types including African American hair. The salon itself is nice and airy. I paid $40 for a blowout and flat iron. I see straightening is their specialty and they really got my hair bone straight. Only problem is I don’t like my hair bone straight and kept expressing that but my stylist didn’t listen. It’s ok. Also she didn’t blow dry my hair straight- just blew it dry and left it puffy which is not good for my hair type. This is why she had to use a smoking hot flat iron. At the end, my hair was so straight,I couldn’t style it and I didn’t like how i looked and hair smelled burnt. Wore it up in a bun the whole week. Anyway, I wouldn’t frequent this salon too often as I would have severe hair breakage from all the heat used.

Hair stylists are so good, I fly from west coast to get my hair done! They are very patient & take their time to do your hair. They offer such awesome customer service too. They setup iPads with Netflix so you are not bored during the excruciatingly long Japanese straitening. Highly recommend this place !

A Korean hair salon located on Northern Blvd. Recommended to make an appointment in advance as they can get busy. The cut from here was good and price was around the ball park range of the other salons in the area.

I’ve been coming here for 12 years! Have done Keratin at many other much fancier places across the US and literally no one else compares! The team here has just figured it out down to a science. I don’t even live in nyc but come here any opportunity I can. Couldn’t ask for better service (they setup iPads so you can watch shows!) or price (paid ~$230 for mid-length Keratin).
