I sat in the chair for 6 hours. I tried out Hairborn for the first time and was disappointed with the experience. The first time around the stylist made a mistake with my highlights. I wanted blonde highlights throughout and because it took her so long to put the foils in, the back of my hair finished way before the front and sides. My hair ended up being white/grayish in the back. She had to fix it. I was never given any compensation for my time and the mistake that was made. It was disappointing that the salon didn’t even reach out after filling out my survey of dissatisfaction. Paying over $300 is extremely pricey when I was not 100% satisfied!

I have been going to Christina Lafkas for a little over a year now. Before seeing her, my hair was brittle and broken and in poor shape. Christina has revitalized my hair to a level it has NEVER been. She is extremely versatile. She listens. Her skill is impeccable. My visits to Hairborn are always a blast as well!

Cute place, nice staff, not sure about their balayage training. Gave them a picture of what I wanted, was told they could do it. Let’s just say I’ve been using an at home remedy of clarifying shampoo and baking soda to remove this blue toner that turned my hair gray. Not the look I was going for. The next day when I received an email from the salon to give feedback about my experience, I explained how unhappy I was with the color, you would think someone would have called me to possibly want to fix it. Nope. I spent almost 300 bucks. Never again.

She does a great job with my cuts, listens to what I want, and remembers things about my hair (like my weird cowlick) that make the cut better every time I visit. I even got compliments from a few friends / family after my first couple of cuts that I looked younger and must be eating better – but I’m still living that cookie monster lifestyle. Hairborn is amazing!!!! I originally came in with an awful balayage done elsewhere that needed drastic correction. Alex is a color expert and had me looking amazing in no time.
