Critical: Professionalism, PunctualityI scheduled an appointment at this salon with a barber (I don’t remember his name because he failed to show up) and Miss LaShaundra (who was quite nice, I’d go to her again). So i have my appointment with her and since my barber didn’t show, the barber who was there (Mister Billy Joe) said he’d do me after his people. Cool. I waited and at a point he a cut to do me real quick. Firstly, I told him that I didn’t understand barber shop lingo (so for that I apologize) but that began his aggravation when I was explaining what cut I wanted but he thought I wanted a line up (???). I try to explain again and it goes wrong because I didn’t know how short was a part of my face (cutting side burns) was going to be then when I said something his first response was “shit”. Then after like a minute, he said he was done, I lied and said I liked it because I just wanted to leave, knowing that he haphazardly didn’t finish then gave himself a tip within payment.Tldr; The barbers there aren’t good nor great. I scheduled an appointment at this salon with a barber (I don’t remember his name because he failed to show up) and Miss LaShaundra (who was quite nice, I’d go to her again). LaShaundra was initially very receptive and helpful in scheduling the appointment and answering my questions about what kind of hair to buy to accommodate the protective braids my daughters wanted. On the day of the appointment, LaShaundra and I texted to confirm the appointment was still on and the start time. On the way to the appointment, I got stuck in traffic, and was running late but not by much. We arrived within 15 minutes of the appointment start time to find the salon closed and no one there. When I texted LaShaundra, she stated that when we did not arrive on time, she assumed we would not be coming and left. She then stated she would not be returning to the salon even though we were there, and had only arrived 15 minutes late. She suggested we reschedule for the next day, and since I was in the wrong for being late, I agreed. The next day I texted her several times with no response to try and confirm the new appointment (which she had suggested in the first place.) When we arrived at the salon we again found it closed and no one there. LaShaundra could not be reached by call or text. we left after waiting for over 45 minutes. This entire interaction was unprofessional and upsetting for my daughters, and has left us scrambling for hair styling before school starts. I totally recommend this shop, me and my oldest son(8yrs old)have been getting our cuts by Adrian for the past 4 years and recently started taking my youngest son ( 4yrs old ), really excellent with kids. This place may be a small shop, but it packs a punch when it comes to haircuts and customer service.

This review is specifically for my issues with one of the braiders. I had an appointment scheduled for yesterday and yesterday afternoon I got a text that she needed to reschedule for today at 10am. That was kind of pushing it for me because I needed to be at my son’s party today by 1pm. I agreed to the rescheduled time and then this morning around 9ish I get a text that she “overslept” and would be there in 45 minutes. This led me to ask if I would still be done around 12 and she said maybe 30-45 minutes after that. I told her I might need something else done so I can get done quicker and that I would try to get things moved around. Then I said I was able to go do a few things to move things around and told her I would be there in 10 minutes. She replied ok and that she just sat down for food. Food?! wow. So 15 minutes later I text her I was here and she responded that she hadn’t gotten her food yet and thought I was rescheduling. If that were the case why would i say i was on my way and move around my whole day to be there? This was probably one of the most unprofessional experiences I have ever had when it came to scheduling. I will be trying the other hair braider or going elsewhere with my business. I’m very upset by the whole experience. I’m 6 months pregnant running around getting things done for an appointment I had yesterday. Not once was it suggested by her to try to contact the other braider for an appointment or just flat out say you don’t want the business. I could have gotten it done yesterday somewhere else. I spent my money on hair and have no way to get it done and my son’s party is in 2 hours!
