I made an appointment for a twist out. I showed several pictures. The owner asked several stylists if they could do a twist out. They said no. A woman who works in the back that normally does braids said she could do a twist out. I was hesitant! I informed her she had to use products. She asked another stylist who gave her one cream to use then she came back and said, no use this. My hair looks a MESS! It’s oily . The stylist and receptionist weren’t sure of the price. I was quoted $75.00!!! I said; for what?

They have amazing hair stylists. However my overall experience with them has been okay. They do a good job but their customer service could be better. I got cornrows from them before and my hair was slightly shorter than it is now. I recently went back to get cornrows again and they said my hair was too short (the photo on the left is of cornrows from my first time going to the salon.)

Great atmosphere with great loctitians and hair stylists. Feels like home from the first time I walked thru those doors. I highly recommend if you are starting, continuing or considering locs.

Was skeptical at first with the mixed reviews but I enjoyed myself. They were friendly, nice, funny and I loved how my Senegalese twist turned out by Amanda. Sat from 9-5pm but worth every penny

Jeanice is an excellent beautician, she takes wonderful care of my hair. I have recommended her to many others. I suggest you try her out, before she’s fully booked and to busy!!!!!!!

I want to start off by saying that I had mainly good experiences here. Prices can be a little high but the owner is professional and I’m willing to pay a higher price for an organized well run business. The reason I’m not giving a 5 star is because I have seen some ugly behavior from some of the braiders. My recent experience was with Precious who refused to do a touch up on my hair. After seeing me in her chair and not speaking to me for about 10 minutes while sitting in a chair across from me, she finally told another braider that she didn’t have an appointment until 11. When I said I’m here for you and explained that I wanted a touch up (it was around 9 am), Precious told me more than once, “she’s not supposed to give me that type of work”. I paid $350 for my braids plus tipped $20. Had I known it would be a problem getting a touch up I never would have paid that type of money. Also, Precious should have gotten up and discussed the situation with her boss instead of making a client feel unwelcome. I saw something similar happen with when I was there before but the girl was young and didn’t speak up for herself. The owner did say she could get someone else to do it but I was upset at being treated that way and decided to leave instead. I felt disrespected in a room full of strangers and I won’t be back.

New prices to high for the average earner in American. The managers are very friendly and listen to understand. I am usually happy with my style.

I have been a customer with this company since 2012. I always get the senegalese twist and I never had a bad service until now. Im writing this review because the bosses need to address when good service is NOT provided. I got my hair braided a week ago today and my hair is SO frizzy like I’ve had it in for a month when usually my hair doesn’t frizz until my new growth comes in which is about 3-4weeks in. My natural hair was NOT tucked under black hair and idk how. I complained to the owner that the lady Danielle(never go to her) does not know how to braid and did poorly when braiding with colored hair. They did offer to re do the 9 colored braids but it really wasn’t worth the time or pain being that I dont live in the area & the strain it puts on the hair. Overall I spent 240$ on braids that look a month old. Im highly dissatisfied with the services Danielle provided me. If Amanda or Aboo is not braiding your hair, GOOD LUCK !

I have long thick dreads. And they were a mess! I went in for a wash, retwist, and style. I chose the two strand twist for my style. Wish I could remember my stylist name. But, she did an amazing job. I absolutely love my hair. I will definitely be returning. Priced at $125, but well worth it.
