We are here to achieve the look our clients’ desire, ‘write’ the story their hair will tell. We are a family owned and operated business. Our cozy, chic salon, provides a relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of Northern VA. We have experience with hair services for women, men, and children. We love what we do, which is evident in the attention to detail our stylists provide to every client. A minimum 24-hour notice of cancellation is required. Late cancellations and no shows may be required to prepay or make a 50% deposit to re-book a future apt.

From the moment you walk in, you can tell the stylist is focused on you and making sure you get the best possible experience. You know when you walk into a salon and it is pure chaos and you have different people working on your hair at every stage? Not here. Merve took the time to really feel my hair, how it moves, see the texture, and recommended some things based on my inspiration photos. I walked in with long, heavy, and dead hair and I left with bouncy, healthy, and voluminous hair. If you were salon shopping like me, don’t hesitate to make an appointment here!

Best haircut I’ve had in 15 years. I was in and out in less than an hour, and got a detailed explanation and lesson on how to blow dry it for my specific needs/style. No unnecessary product pushing, just a direct straight to the point description of what’s being cut and why, and how to dry it. High quality beautiful cut in little time and exactly what I wanted. Merve is amazing. She listened to me and immediately knew what to do. She looked at my hair texture and type and went straight to work. Highly recommend.

Merve was a dream to work with- she looked at my Inspo picture and voiced to me exactly what she was thinking. She told me what she saw with my hair, what she thought was feasible short term and what she imagined for long term. She looked at my Instagram in advance of my appointment to see how I liked to style my hair and adjusted to make sure I was happy with the final result. Sama is my hero. After a “balayage” gone horribly wrong and orange by another stylist, I contacted Hair Story by Serap the next morning hoping I could undo the damage as soon as possible. Not only did Sama schedule me for same day service but she stayed 2 hours after the salon closed to make sure my hair was restored to its original brown, and glossier with subtle color added. I can’t be happier. Sama knows color and she definitely knows how to do a proper balayage on dark hair. I am so grateful!

Serap cut my 16-year-old son’s hair and did an amazing job. She really listened to him and what he wanted and worked collaboratively with him talking through options. After barber shops have chopped his hair too short every time, we decided to find a salon. Serap was careful not to cut too much off in the beginning and let him decide the length each step of the way and shaped it into a great style. He was very happy! I highly recommend her for anyone but especially to those with a teenage boy who wants to keep his hair longer (I call it “boy band” hair).
