The big girl who resembles the Mucinex character in the back of the salon braided my hair. I told her to be easy with her hands. She completely ignored. She braides EXTREMELY tight. To keep it short, she broke a lot of my hair. I was livid and won’t be returning to her EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER AGAiN. One thing I will say is that the owner Marie was very welcoming and gorgeous; aside from her everyone else had weird vibes [heavy on the weird]. I shouldn’t have to walk into a black establishment—and not feel welcomed as a black person—and the first thing I see is a barber who’s mad and not very welcoming. I’m an empath so I know when the vibes aren’t right. The owner needs to speak to her staff if she wants her business to thrive or just replenish them with new skill, positive attitude individuals. Personally, I take care of my teeth because I know a smile can brighten up someone’s day. I’m not saying to be jolly as soon as people walk in, but a genuine warm welcome versus a cold wassup with a mad face has a stark difference. I work in hospitality and always get compliments on my smile. A smile goes long way. Positive energy yields blessings, whereas bad vibes only causes people to stay far from you.

I haven’t had much luck dealing with the barbers here. The haircuts are never terrible they just aren’t great either. Come here if you NEED a cut and don’t have an alternative but if you do have options I’d go elsewhere honestly.

The barber cut my son’s hair. My son had cuts and blisters everywhere. When I went back to complain he told me to put alcohol on it and the cuts will be gone in a few days. That was my first and last time I would never bring my son back there again. All he cares about is making money he doesn’t care about his clients.
