I have been looking for some older stylist as most of the younger generation seem to cut your hair the way they want versus listening to what you ask for and even showing them a picture still cut it the way they think it will look good. At hair solutions they listen and have a greater knowledge of a 1967 pixie cut before being shown a picture. Yes they have a generally older clientele but can do a wider variety of styles and not just CUT your hair. Thank you Ladies!! Recommend this store to any age.

Came to the salon a total of two times. The first time I went was PERFECT. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the woman that cut my hair but she did a fantastic job. Took the time to listen to what I wanted and made it happen. I have curly hair so I was looking to have it thinned out and she did exactly that. We even joked about the amount of hair that was on the floor looked like Bob Ross being there. Was super happy with the outcome. The second time I came in was a completely different story. When me and my boyfriend walked in we were immediately gawked at and made uncomfortable. We stood there for about a solid minute before a woman that was doing someone’s hair decided to finally acknowledge us and ask “what can we help you with?” In a mildly annoyed tone of voice. I said “I need a haircut and my hair thinned please” she stopped what she was doing, still looking annoyed and went to the back to grab another stylist. We stood there for a bit and saw a woman come out from behind the curtain, took a quick look at us up and down before going back behind the curtain. Came back out after about 3 minutes to talk to me about what I wanted done with my hair. All the while she seemed annoyed and like she couldn’t be bothered to do my hair. I told her that I just needed a cut and thinning and was hoping that maybe she was having a bad day and maybe everything would turn around when I got in the chair. As soon as I got in the chair, the entire experience was just awkward and just unwelcoming. Between her attitude and the stares and judgmental looks from her coworkers and the clients. After she had finished, I asked her what kind of shampoo in the salon would help my hair. She handed me a bottle and I took it up to the counter to purchase. As she’s typing up numbers into the register she still looked annoyed and bothered. Keep in mind, I got a haircut and am purchasing a product. She tells me my total and hands me my credit card receipt. I tipped her nicely (I can’t remember exact numbers but I remember tipping the woman nicely because I use to work in customer service) and THATS when the attitude changed. Sorry if I didn’t fit the typical clientele that comes in but I don’t think I should be made feel unwelcome and like a bother. I’m someone that gives people the benefit of the doubt but the fact that her attitude changed AFTER she saw her tip spoke volumes. Because of this experience, I won’t be going back.
