I went there on Saturday to get my natural hair silk pressed and curled. I haven’t pressed my hair in about nine months and I was really excited to have a really nice press. The first woman helped me take down my 2 strand twist! (Which I tipped her for) The washing process was really nice but everything went downhill when the owner was yanking my hair out while drying it! When I tried to pull away to indicate that she was yanking my hair, she pulled me back and said that she will stop pulling if she feel like she’s pulling too much and that my hair is natural so this is basically what I have to go through… they clipped my ends so I thought the pressed would come out better! They didn’t flat iron and then curl it (which is what you usually do) they just used a hot comb for my roots and proceeded to curl my hair… they curls were so nappy. A press usually last 2 weeks for me but unfortunately that is not the now.. I will never come back and I wouldn’t recommend anyone with natural hair to come here either!!!!

Today was my first visit with Chafon- and she did not disappoint!! I came into the salon and her assistant was ready for me.. The assistant provided excellent service and was so pleasant and thoughtful. When I got to Chafon’s chair, she was engaging and listened attentively to my hair issues. She gave my exactly what I wanted- but added her own expertise. She is professional, funny, and takes extremely good care of your hair. I came to her because I notice how healthy my nieces hair has become- and she owes it all to Chafon. I have already booked my next appointment- it’s been a long time since I have been this happy with my hair!!

I have been here 3 times, not because it was the best service, but because I like to support our own. While I really want to give a 1 star review, I won’t because of who I believe is the owner, Chavonne. If you go here, go to her and her only! She’s very polite and won’t have you waiting. She makes you feel welcomed and not like you’re an inconvenience. To any and all hairstylists, please remember that we spend our hard earned money and travel to your salons from afar not only to get beautified, but for PROFESSIONALSERVICE! If you’re having a bad day, that’s ok. I would rather you say do you mind, I need to step away for a minute than to spread that energy around others. Thank you.

The old shop I use to go to would have me in there for 3-5 hours just for a press and curl. I had Chafon today and I was in and out within a hour and maybe 15 min. That was in including getting my hair trimmed.
