This might be the snazziest hair do establishment around; at the very least, the best one I’ve ever been to. Beverages are offered while you wait. The staff is bright and welcoming. The layout keeps the theme of the mill with many modern changes. The most interesting part of the experience was the hair wash, a hot neck towel, and a head massage, and a hot drying towel after. Great care is taken during the cutting, with professionals more interested in a great cut and not jabbing the customer with clippers or scissors to do the job quick for the next customer. 200 little changes make the Hair Gallery at the Mill a tucked away hidden gem. “I’ll be back”

I love this place! I have been going to Hair Gallery since it opened and am very happy for their continuing success. All of the staff, from the senior stylists to the new stylists-in-training are very professional and personable. The space is light and airy. This salon runs very smoothly and has a pleasant atmosphere. Coffee, tea, cold water and snacks are on hand for anyone who wants them. The stylists receive frequent training in new techniques, so they are able to suggest new “looks” or style hair to the client’s specifications. At other salons I’ve used, the hairdressers try to get customers to buy new products at every visit. This is not true at Hair Gallery, though they are well stocked for those who want some. The front desk schedulers are very accommodating when appointments need to be changed. I give Hair Gallery 5 stars!

Hair gallery is definitely one of the snazziest hair places I’ve ever gone to and with costs similar to Manhattan. Only a 4-star because of their prices. In the last year and a half my hairdresser has moved levels quickly. Good for her because she truly is great at what she does but NOT so great for my wallet! My hair bill can be anywhere from $200-$300 plus 20% tip every 8-weeks! I’m dreading the day she moves to the next level and I have to lose her and get a less experienced hair dresser because I can’t continue to justify the cost increase. There honestly should be a policy that the loyal customer does not bare all the cost if a hair dresser moves levels within a year. #hairgallaryatthemill #foodforthought #NYCHairCost
