I asked for a “v” cut. My hair was slightly wavy from being braided the night before. Instead of using water, the stylist used a hot hair straightener without heat protectant constantly on the hair instead of using water and a comb (which would’ve easily straightened the hair out). Also, the “v” isn’t symmetrical. She also made me stand a couple times in the middle of the haircut to see if it was “even”. The way she did bangs wasn’t standard as she didn’t part the hair first. This was a below average, if not extremely below average haircut for $40. The straightening took all the volume out of my hair. I washed and blow dried my hair after coming home, giving it some volume back. I hesitated to even give a tip, but she spent almost 20 minutes straightening my long hair- I gave her $5 because she did put some effort in (although it should’ve been included in the price. Very unhappy and wouldn’t recommend unless you want a straight cut (the easiest of them all). The first cut she made to make sure the length was where I wanted it was also not conventional, bringing the hair to the front (it changes the angle and length and doesn’t reflect well in the back). She was all snipping randomly without any plan.. the layers aren’t even or even visible unless looked at carefully.

This place is pretty hit or miss. Some of these ladies do fantastic haircuts (some of the best haircuts I have ever had actually). However, I got the worst haircut today. I asked the lady for a medium combover with a fade but what I got was a nearly fully shaved head with short hair up top. And the hair continues to stay up no matter how much product I put in. Highly disappointed.

I take my mom to get her haircut at Hair Express for over 10 years now. Laura is one of the stylist and she is the best! You just tell her what style you want & she absolutely delivers! My mom comes out looking like a million bucks after she sees Laura!

This place is friendly, fast, efficient and very well priced! This is more of a no fuss, no muss in and out hair cut salon. It was very busy, but they squeezed me in with no appointment. Kaitlyn my stylist was very sweet and I left with an exceptional on-trend long-bob. I will be back!

If you’re looking for a cheap place for hair cut (but not for hair color), this is the place to get it if you don’t mind rough washing and rinsing of your hair and with water all over your face and hard pulling of your head. Katrina is the hairdresser and she won’t follow what you tell her or what you like done. Very unprofessional, they talk in their dialect and are all very loud. Not a place to relax especially if you are getting a hair color. While you wait for the color to sit in, it will make your life miserable as the chairs are uncomfortable plus all the loud talks and unsettling ambiance. Note that the hair color is not even cheap! I won’t recommend this place.

They finally reopened. They only have 3 barbers at a time tomcat means they are limiting to 3 customers at a time. The wait area has know one chair now. So, make an appointment before you go.
