I went back to Hair Excellence after getting my hair styled there for a wedding, wanting a color service. I wanted a light blonde color with a dark root (I was starting out with a sort of brassy light-med blonde with darker medium blonde root so I didn’t expect it to be too difficult) I had a picture that I showed the stylist of what I wanted. We discussed how to achieve the look and I was expecting an icy light blonde color with a shadow root. I said I did want contrast. I ended up with lighter roots than when I went in, darker ash blonde hair (that looks very grey in some lighting), with highlights and a crooked hair cut! There is very little contrast between my roots and my hair. I knew as soon as she started drying my hair that it was not what I had wanted. The finished product did not look terrible though, (hence 2 stars instead of 1) just not at all what I asked for or expected, so I thought I’d live with it a few days and see if it grew on me. But I discovered today that my hair was cut noticeabley crooked on top of the wrong color, so I decided to leave this review. I’m disappointed because I wanted this look for so long, went in excited and came out 5 hours later with something I barely even liked and now have to go get fixed. :/

Hair Excellence is just that. EXCELLENT! They are very lucky to have the staff they have working there. Colleen P. is a wonderful stylist. And Bridget is a fun person to have there. In general, really good people. Very professional, and try their best to make the clients feel welcome and to work with you on what you would like. You would be amazed by how well they do hair. I have been going there for a long time now, and I will certainly continue to go there.

Melissa is a fantastic stylist. She does a great job on my hair every time I visit Hair Excellence. Melissa takes the time to listen to you and it always shows when she finishes my hair. My girlfriend also has been coming here and gets her hair colored and cut by Melissa. We’re both extremely happy that we can both get hair cuts/styling in the same facility. The prices are more than fair for perfect work, I’ve never had a stylist like Melissa and recommend her to everyone I know. I love the environment in this salon too, the girls are all very nice and friendly.

I love my personal stylest, Colleen P. She is beyond amazing at coloring hair & gives an excellent cut as well. She listens to what type of style you want, but will give you an honest opinion if she thinks it will be a flattering look for you, & will give you good suggestions on how to modify the style to be more flattering. She is flexible with scheduling appointments. Colleen is very caring and I consider her a good friend. Hair Excellence is very clean. It is handicapped accessible. All of the staff are so friendly. To top it off, the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend Hair Excellence.
