It’s been a little over two months now. I regret the day I came here. $160 down the drain. I’d have been better off burning the cash. First off, I made an appointment for the afternoon at 3 pm and wasn’t even in the chair til after 6. Granted she did call because her previous appointment was running longer than expected, and that’s fine. But my hair wasn’t finished til midnight. I was happy, I thought we were vibing; she kept us entertained with dramatic, exciting African movies that had you on the edge of your seat. Now 3 days later in the same week, one of the back braids came out. Again, nbd it happens. I didn’t get the time to go back to her as my hair was done for a out of town event. I kept the braid and went on. This was the following weekend. By the time I was back on the Tuesday I’d lost 3 more. I stopped in the following week first chance I got and explained that a braid came out. Before I’m even finished she tells me I have to PAY for her to replace it. A SINGLE BRAID. I left before I said something I’d regret. I’m not sure which galaxy she beamed down from but she needs to get in line with the rest of planet Earth. Since then I’ve been losing braids left and right. I’m not sure how with a Cosmetology school in the area she still managed to make braids that defied the laws of physics by being both tight and loose at the same time. If it’s not dropping out of my head, it’s ripping out my hair. Maybe she was tired. I don’t know. But I sure as hell won’t be back.

I had an appointment and cancelled because the weather was terrible. I reschedule for sometime the following week. The next day, I called back because I was actually able to come in sooner. When I called to see if she could fit me in, she did just that and was so kind about it. She thanked me for communicating with her and not just choosing to NOT show up on the original date that didn’t work for me. She treated me with such respect after cancelling at such short notice and then looked into rescheduling at such a short notice. I will be going back..I was very pleased with the service and the professionalism that was demonstrated in my circumstance.

My daughter and I got our hair today at Hair Elation and the owner (Jean) took care of me and my daughter. My daughter had school pictures on Friday, do I wanted to get her hair done at least 24 hours to endure the pain. My daughter looks great and it didn’t take up alot of time as the other Braiding Salons. Everyone is nice, understanding, talkative, and actually listened to you and laugh with you especially when watching the TV. I had a good time and it was do worth it to me so Thank You!!!

I went to the salon a little skeptical after reading the two previous reviews, but I walked in and immediately the owner (Jean) gave me some fruit and a small T-Shirt. My hair took half the time than I was anticipating and what it has taken me at other salons. It was also painless, and we had some very nice conversations. I am a young college student and would definitly recommend this salon to others who want good and courteous service.
