I spent an entire morning calling around S. Burlington and the UVM area, looking for someplace that could accommodate a patient with cancer who needed help and a gentle touch. Of the salons that I made contact with, I got nothing but attitude and ridicule and four-week out appointments (after explaining that the patient was losing hair rapidly, and just wanted it cut down to help make the transition during chemo). Finally, I spoke to Robin at Hair Dynasty near Taft’s Corners and discovered someone with a heart as big as her personality. She understood my concerns and the patient’s needs. She was kind, compassionate, and unbelievably flexible — nothing like the salons around the U-mall and Dorset street. I can’t say enough about what it meant for a business owner to recognize a customer’s special needs and to go above and beyond to meet those expectations. Thank you, Robin! A year later… Robin remains a trusted part of our cancer routine and has become even more important as a good friend.

If you bring in a picture, you leave with your hair looking like the photo. I always love how my hair looks when when she finishes and for a long time after.
