It was a great experience and for the first time in a long time, my scalp opened up to breathe and it was like a breath of fresh air. The people who operate the Atlanta Hair Doctor are kind and caring individuals, and were truthful with me regarding my hair condition. I have been going to Dermatologist who told me something I was supposed to be dealing with concerning my scalp but wgen I stepped into the Atlanta Hair Doctor, the truth came to light which it restored my hope.

I went in to get a consultation with scalp analysis, wash with blow dry, and oxygen treatment. I have 4C hair so I kept it simple just to gauge this location before booking a membership or super in depth service. I had issues finding the location but the remote rep on the phone was amazing and helped guide me to the right area when I called. Upon arrival I was immediately greeted and sat at the shampoo bowl. Someone other than LaShonda (my scheduled stylist) started the wash (which is normal when stylists have a lot of clients) but when she finished who she was working on she just sat down and ate snacks and used her phone. So someone else washed me, and blew me dry which was most of my services. During my wash she came over to the wash bowl and said my hair was dry and offered an aloe Vera treatment which I accepted, but that was pretty much my scalp analysis. She just said I have kinky, coarse, and dry hair (all things I was fully aware of) and she said I had breakage but no real issues, so she wasn’t going to use the machine and perform an actual scalp analysis which was what I mainly wanted so it was disappointing. The stylist that was working on me tried her best to get me fully dry but she was struggling, and LaShonda told her it was okay since the oxygen treatment would wet my hair again when she performed it on my scalp. So she stopped when my hair was still pretty fluffy. LaShonda did perform the oxygen treatment that made my hair moist again at the roots, but she didn’t attempt to dry it at all afterwards. She did however try answer all of my hair questions, but it was information I have seen online, nothing really unique to my hair. Based on how this visit went I will not be returning. I have had beauty schools straighten my hair better with a wash and blow dry. I was embarrassed to say I paid for that blow out. I didn’t even go get braids as planned because it simply wasn’t performed well. I took one image just to capture a before of what my hair looked like before attempting to salvage it at home. Just beware if you have 4C hair! I was a first time client and they barely spoke to me during my visit.
