Came in for a blow dry, going to my brother’s funeral said that I needed volume on the top. Should have left when the girl washing my hair didn’t even get the back fully washed. She was also in charge of my blow dry and 30 minutes into the blowdry service I was so unimpressed that I asked her stop with a third of my head still wet. The top parts that she had finished are flatter than it is when I do at home, the sides are sticky and dull with poor quality product and they still made me pay for it despite my exceptional dissatisfaction and wet head. Headed home now to wash and dry my own hair when all wanted was to make this hard day easier.

After getting two haircuts in two days from hair Cuttery in Yorkville, my hair looks horrendous. I made it clear well over a dozen times that I cannot have layers. The hairstylist did what she wanted anyway and cut the back super short and left the side super long, none of it was even, I went back the next day to get it fixed, and it’s not much better. When I spoke to the manager, she told me that it it is essentially my fault for letting a level one hairstylist cut my hair! The worst part of this whole situation, is that I will be cutting off the new growth over and over for the next few years, while waiting for the crown to grow back out. I explained to this non-hairstylist over and over, that my crown doesn’t grow, so it cannot be cut. Now it is going to be a big frizz ball on top of my head for the next three years, while I cut off all of the rest of my hair. Hair Cuttery takes no accountability whatsoever. I think I’m gonna go get a job there, and then I could cut everybody’s hair however I want.

Allie did my highlights and I am so happy with them!! I haven’t gotten my hair professionally done in years, so I was a little nervous but she was very friendly, talkative and thorough. She made sure I was comfortable the whole time. Also, Amber answered the phone when I called to make my appt, and I really appreciated how friendly she was! A lot of times salons are rude, so I was really happy with the service overall at Hair Cuttery!
