Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueEXPENSIVE MISTAKE!!I booked online for a balayage from the preselected options available. I didn’t just show up with a haircut appointment and expect someone to do bolayage on the fly. I set appointment for exactly what I wanted. When I came in there were 2 people there. The girl who did my hair was nice but had no idea how to do balayage. She kept asking me how much beach and if I wanted more foils …and how I wanted her to weave the bleach in. She then proceeded to plaster large straight globs of bleach in a thick straight horizontal line down all of my hair. There was zero blending. She just teased it roughly to sorta soften the line, but it didn’t work. I asked her several times to break up the coloring so it liked more natural. I even showed her a picture of my hair when it was previously bolayaged…. But she didn’t understand. Set no times while I was under the heat and just seemed to forget I was there…. Despite there not being other customers. Then when she cut the hair she asked if I wanted curtain bangs…I thought… Sure, might as well since the color will look aweful… Besides those are super easy to cut. Welp, I was wrong, she messed that up too. Then blow dried my hair without a brush on low heat, while combing it in ever direction possible. I looked like a angry chinchilla!!! She asked how I liked the cut and I kept telling her I couldn’t see it…. She fluffed my hair so badly there was no way to image what the cut actually liked like. She wanted to know if she could charge me even more to actually style it! I refused…. Knowing I already just wasted a ton of money. I told her I was unhappy again. She referred me to the manager. I called the manager the next day and she had a more experienced girl attempt to fix it free if charge. She re-bleached a stripe around my head that was better…. But patchy and left very noticable stripes in my hair. I don’t blame her, it was a mess to try and fix and I just don’t think the experience of this salon could handle it.In short…. I usually go to Elle Salon in Elgin…And I learned a valuable lesson. Don’t go somewhere else just because they are available!I’m honestly not that high maintenance on my hair. Balayage works because it still looks good as it grows out.The manager tried but this salon is not good for more than a basic hair cut and overall color.I went back to my regular salon and had to pay big bucks for them to try and fix it. I was so embarrassed that I hid my hair in ponytails for all the holidays.I’m now getting a reverse bolayage and color correction. EXPENSIVE MISTAKE!!

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueMy husband took my 5yo son in for a haircut. He called to make sure someone with experience in cutting children’s hair was available. He had a horrible experience. This is the 2nd time my son received a bad haircut from this location. The manager on duty did not even look at it and told my husband it looked fine to her. The girl cutting my sons hair said shes been cutting hair for ” a while” yet she cut the back of my son’s neck with her clippers. Then tries to say my son is moving too much. He has had many haircuts and never has been cut before. No one in the salon was any help and on top of it we had to pay $17 for a kids haircut. We will absolutely never go back to this location.
