After taking some damage from other salons, I decided to go to this location to cut out as much of it as possible. I was not disappointed! Trina did a fabulous job and was able to cut out most of the brittle and fried hair. She even gave great recommendations for my hair thinning and the overall dryness. Yesterday I was seen by cici, I was getting done black on top and platinum in the bottom. I was kinda skeptical about it because I though it wouldn’t come out light because of my black hair. This may sound strange but today I did something by myself that I haven’t done before. I went to the hair salon to get my hair cut. I know what you’re thinking… BIG DEAL! When you’re in a wheelchair, these simple tasks are a BIG DEAL. I can’t get into the salon chair because the transfer from my wheelchair to the salon chair is too high and I have always had my husband go with me. Today, he just wasn’t available, and I really wanted to make my hair appointment. Luckily, I had a great hairstylist who was willing to bend down and reach to cut my hair. This was a great challenge and yes I succeeded. Thanks to Hair Cuttery and the artistic stylist Amanda!

I arrived 5 minutes before my appointment as to not be late. The stylist the website chose for me decided to take a walk-in minutes before I arrived. The other stylist finished up her cut and told me to wait an additional 10 minutes to see if the stylist I was supposed to be with would be available. She was not. I was seen 15 minutes later than my appointment time even though there was nobody else in the building aside from me, the walk-in customer, and the two stylists. The lady who took me back, who was not the original stylist, got my hair washed and trimmed in about 10 minutes. The walk-in who took my appointment time walked about about a minute before I was finished. I did not like how unprofessional the whole experience was and will more than likely not return. They are receiving 3 stars because the lady who took me did a good job and was quick about it.

My appointment was at 11:15am so I showed up 5 minutes prior to my appointment. The appointment system on their site designated a stylist for me because I chose any available stylist. I checked in and sat down. Around 11:20am a woman, who was not my designated stylist, finished the haircut she was doing and told me the stylist that was supposed to be trimming my hair wasn’t available yet and that she’d give her an additional 10 minutes to see if she becomes available. Mind you, at this point it was only me and another customer in the building with the two hair stylists. From my understanding the lady who was supposed to trim my hair took a walk-in minutes before I arrived so she was not available. The lady who had me wait the additional 10 minutes took me back around 11:30. She washed and trimmed my hair in about 10 minutes. The walk-in customer was out about a minute before I was finished. The lady who took the walk-in said her name was Trina (who was supposed to be my stylist) and asked her customer to rate her 5 stars on the website which is why I’m only rating 3 stars because, she had an appointment set up, but chose to take the walk-in and leave the other lady to do my quick wash and trim. The lady who cut my hair, Maria, did well but I was turned off by the whole unprofessional vibe I got when I walked in. I will more than likely not be returning to this location.

I am so upset I went to this place for highlights deep conditioning and a hair cut. My stylist was nice but did not do what I wanted. I wanted my hair diffused and deep conditioned neither was done. My cut was supposed to be front layers only and she layered all of my hair. She showed me while I was still seated so I didn’t notice the back layers until I got home. I spent $157 on something that besides the highlights I could have done myself. I will not return!

Trina did a great job on my haircut. I have visited The Cuttery twice with an appointment both times. Unfortunately, there seems to be a problem with overbooking because running late seems to be the norm. I will continue to wait patiently because the haircut was that good.
