I was looking for a place to get my hair cut. I took a chance and walked into The Hair Cuttery. I met Keisha at the front desk, she was friendly and had a big smile. I was a little nervous, but she immediately put me at ease. I told her I hadn’t had my haircut professionally in two years. She ask me to come back and discussed what style I was looking for, she gave me suggestions as well. She cut my hair and when she finished I was so excited. It was exactly what I asked for. In no way shape or form do I recommend going to this salon if you want anything more than a basic trim. My main goal was to dye over my roots and make them blonde again. After paying for a full foil I received what I honestly didn’t even feel like was a partial. I asked her to cut my hair for me. It’s not even. I asked her to curl my hair for me, and she curled towards my face? What kind of salon professional doesn’t know that you’re supposed to curl away from the face. Not to mention she burnt my ear with a curling iron.

Not a good experience. I came at a time when there was only one person. I should have left when it was 2 minutes before I was initially greeted. They charged extra without telling me in advance Haircut was sadly mediocre and rushed. Not good customer service. Maybe on a different day it would be better.

My hair looks very choppy. My hair wasn’t parted straight down the middle the entire cut i would assume they would be able to part my hair down the middle so i didn’t pay much attention to it. When it was done there was a lot more than i asked to be cut off when she gave me layers. I’m very upset with the way my hair looks.

It was an honor and privilege to of had these services from Jessica, because the process was lengthy but she made it feel smooth and fun. Weeks before, she overheard a conversation with my original hairdresser who wasn’t familiar with the keratin treatment and jumped right in to advise me of the process. The day of, I arrived early. Jessica informed me every step of the way, offered excellent conversation, offered to help me with getting lunch and gave me the best advice as to how to take care of my hair. Jessica was lovely and never hinted or complained of this all day process. It honestly didn’t feel like an arduous situation and I felt appreciated and cared for. I really like my other Cosmetologist, Stephanie at the Edgewater office, and the way she dyes my hair, but that salon doesn’t have anyone who know how to apply keratin. Therefore, I am so happy that I have Jessica to go to in the New Smyrna salon. There is signage on their salon about enjoying your time there and it is so true! Thank you very much.

Back in December I had moved here after a major life changing event. I wasn’t feeling well, I’ve lost a lot of weight and I hadn’t had my hair cut in over a year. Laurie Lynn took the time to listen to me and do exactly what I asked, mind you neither one of us appeared to being morning people, but we pulled it off. I am a young 56 years lady with natural silver gray hair. I shave the left side of my head, I’ve been doing my hair like this for years but after letting it grow out for over a year, it was hard to see that cut. Anyway she did so good that I went back today. We did a little tweaking and now it’s perfect. I’ll be going to Laurie Lynn forever. Even one of her coworkers complemented me on the cut but it was Laurie that had to do the work. Thank you Laurie Lynn
