I went to Diamond per my mothers recommendation after getting her hair done by her. It’s been a while since I’ve been to a salon to get my natural hair trimmed and straightened. Diamond was so nice, she took her time with me and explained everything she was doing, which made a huge difference in making me feel comfortable and happy with my look. They may be fine for haircuts, but don’t go there for a perm. They put too much tension when putting in the rods, which resulted in an awful frizzy mess. A stylist from a different salon showed me the “fishhook” damage at the end of my strands and explained that too much pressure was put on the rods that shouldn’t be done like that. Very disappointed.

Olivia just gave me the best haircut experience (and probably haircut too) of my life. She’s amazing, full of the secrets to life. There’s no way she doesn’t end up writing a book and living her dreams, so you managers reading this should probably start paying her more or good luck keeping her. Seriously. I’m not even from RVA and only get about two haircuts a year, haven’t even left the parking lot and I’m angry at my hair for not growing fast enough so I can travel back to this location.

I had the worst hair cut of my life here! I cut my hair here last week and looks like it has been chopped off with an unsharp blade, it looks very uneven and very ugly (even tho k requested a simple layered cut). I have been trying to style it in different ways but it still looks horrible. When the hairstylist was cutting my hair, I had a feeling something was wrong but instead of trying to make it right she kept telling me I’m just looking at it wrong (or something like that). I tried telling her that there was something wrong but she didn’t listen. I’m so disappointed because also I was charged $37 when I booked my appointment online but I was charged extra when checking out (it was not mentioned in the website that I’ll be charged extra depending on my hair length).

My stylist didn’t cut my hairline straight and cut into it too far. I asked for a skin fade and a trim, which I received, but the trim was very aggressively executed. Alyxes was very nice, but didn’t seem like she understood what I was asking for. I went home and fixed what little I could, but I will not be returning to this location.
