Really poor experience at Hair Cuttery. Only went there because I work late now and my usual barber was closed. My haircut lasted 9 minutes, clocked it on my phone, and was almost shocked when she wrapped it up feeling like there was much more to be done. I almost asked for my money back. Will not be coming back, no attention to detail and felt rushed. The stylist clearly didn’t know how to use the scissors and I could tell as she trimmed the top. The one positive: she used the #2 razor correctly, she gets a cookie. Also got razor burn on my neck. Overall D-

Like many, I get nervous about getting my hair cut….so much so that I rarely have it done….It’s been two years since my last cut and it was getting very split, broken and frizzy…with no “regular stylist” I popped into this location on a whim and decided to just go for it. Donna was available right away…she was kind, friendly and took her time taking off a little at time so I wasn’t uncomfortable, I relaxed enough that we just kept going a little shorter a little shorter. I took our 4 year old in for a trim this week as we were in the neighborhood and they had a spot open. He had been growing a rat tail for almost 3 years and I asked the stylist to leave the tail but trim the sides and top. The stylist commented on the adorable curl and its length and I mentioned how much we loved its silliness. And then the first thing she did was cut it off. In the moment I was frozen and speechless, not sure what to say as you can’t just reattach it. The rest of the haircut was fine for the price and we just left. But he is pretty sad about losing what he called his “piggy tail” and I am still very disappointed that the stylist was not listening well. I don’t normally write reviews and perhaps should have made a big deal about it in the moment but please let this be a reminder that even a little kid’s cut is personal and the stylist should make sure to understand what is expected. We’ll do our trims at home from now on.

My hair was destroyed by an at home attempt to add color to my highlights and it ended up turning fire truck red. So then we tried color remover and my hair was FRIED! I just told Ella to do whatever she thought would be best to fix the color and save my hair! My hair is sooo soft and is beautiful!! Love love love her and her personality!
