I went in north cape may hair cuttery for the first time yesterday and was referred from an employee in rio grande to get a perm done from this employee that she was the best they had for perm so on 11/23/22 I had an appointment i went and i asked for a tight curl perm and this is what I got. This is not tight curls. Or curls at all. I did not get tight curls nor what i wanted. I asked before leaving if it would look better when my hair drys because it looked horrible when it was wet still and i was told yes it would and be curly when it drys etc. I explained myself before i got anything done and what i was afraid of and ask all the questions i could think of. And was told everything would be okay she said she knew what she was doing etc. I am so upset and unhappy with this. THANKSGIVING and im crying my eyes out thanks to an hairstylist that supposedly knew what she was doing. How can this be fix?? How??? Like this is horrible And on top of everything I left there around 6 pm and woke up like this. This is unacceptable and unprofessional to allow someone to look like this after paying good amount of money to send your customers home like this….

I walked on for a cut, just asked for a deep-v (which my hair was already in) and 6 (or so) inches off the length…unbeknownst to me when I got back to my regular stylist (3 weeks later) she combed me back for an additional trim before my wedding and she snapped this photo. I had mentioned that every time I pulled my hair forward it looked a bit jagged but I had no clue until she showed me the photo of the state of my hair. I understand that sometimes people are still learning and honing their craft but this just looks like someone stopped midcut and called it a day. Almost every stylist there is really nice so that is redeeming, just check the cut before walking out the door.

This was my first time at Hair Cuttery and I don’t think I’ll ever go back. The staff seemed unprofessional right as I was walking in. (the employees were yelling at eachother). I received a perm and a hair cut and it was mediocre at best. The worst part was after the perm she cut all the straight pieces of hair she missed with the curling rods off my head. She also was trying to sell me hair care products that I didn’t need. They did perm my hair and cut it but it just wasn’t well done.

I walked in to get a basic haircut, there was NOBODY waiting in the waiting area, and the female barber was in the back playing with her apple watch and talking with the other barber. The time was 11:10am, she tells me the next available time is 2:00 pm with a snarky attitude! I definitely won’t be back.

I went to this hair cuttery twice including today. Both times I was practically ignored. The workers will be in the back room talking to each other for 30 mins, after being reminded that I am waiting they still choose to ignore me sitting there. Today I went in and was told that I could get my hair trimmed 10 mins later they all went on break. I’ve NEVER made a bad review but this place is terrible.

If you want to be ignored when you walk in this is the place for you. After waiting 5 minutes w no one even acknowledging my existence I decided to leave. The place was pretty empty only one person waiting. In the back on the right there was some one in a chair being worked on. On the left side there were 2 people sitting, the 4 were just chatting. One kind of looked up as I came in but at no time did any One even say we’ll be with you shortly. Not one. I found them to be rude and not professional at all. Even though I love getting my hair cut by James I don’t think I’ll return there. I’m going to try great clips or another walk in place. This type of behavior will cost the workers money. Good luck to any one going there. Again if you don’t mind being totally ignored then this is the place for you!

The atmosphere was nice, the staff was helpful, but when it came down to my pixie haircut, I was pleased with the fade, but I got home and examined closer to the detail of my haircut & there is still hair around my ears, I asked for it off my ears and neck line. I now have to fix it myself. I was glad to get right in for a haircut n color service but when it came to the hair color, it was messy & all over my forehead and ears. I won’t be coming back..
