It’s hard for a multi-location type salon like this (or any of the big brands) to rate five stars. The overall salon experience was very good. (I feel the big brand salons have all set a high bar.) The salon was pleasant and clean as expected. What set this experience apart was the excellent customer service of the staff. The stylist that cut my son’s hair was wonderful. She was very patient and attentive, and made sure he left with his hair cut exactly the way he wanted. Which, for him, is quite a challenge!

This was my second appointment with Danielle and she continues to impress me! I was a bit hesitant to get coloring done at this location, since I have never had color done at a Hair Cuttery before, but Danielle did an amazing job. She listened to exactly what I wanted, was professional, friendly and the results were even better that I had expected. I was also limited on time, and she made sure to keep everything on track, which is SO appreciated, as I have had experiences in the past at other salons where I had gotten stuck there for hours. I will definitely continue to come back in the future for any hair services that I need.

I was grateful for the last minute appointment at 5:00 pm. I opted for the Tea Tree VIP (shampoo, relaxing tea tree scalp massage, and a signature cut). The “scalp massage” was the person cutting my hair aggressively raking her sharp finger nails against my head until it felt raw. No wonder the tea tree treatment tingled! After she walked away and I sat for five minutes, she started to cut my hair. I felt her breathing on me (she was a mouth breather, fine, but I don’t want to feel and smell your breath, especially in COVID times). The clippers that were used looked like they were plastic with some kind of golden design on them. They were either dull, or not fully charged, and it felt like they were ripping clumps of hair out of my scalp. It wasn’t terrible in the beginning, but she seemed to be rushing, and was moving quickly by the end. It got bad, and didn’t get better after I said something. After she said she was finished, I asked to see the back of my hair. It was still wet (I thought blow drying, especially in the wintertime, was a thing… apparently not), and very uneven. I didn’t ask to have it fixed, because the equipment was sub par. I’ll go elsewhere tomorrow to have my haircut corrected, and will not be returning to Hair Cuttery.

Scheduled an appointment online, showed up on time, mysteriously the door was locked, the inside was devoid of life, lights were on, ominous phone ringing could be heard coming from inside, but nobody was around to answer. Signs outside said “Walk-ins welcome.” No “We’re closed,” sign anywhere to be found, just a paper on the front door showing what hours they’re supposedly open. I rate 1 star not for the Hair Cuttery itself, but 1 star for whomever has abducted the owner and staff without notifying us ahead of time. RETURN THEM at once. I beg of you.
