Hair & Color Studio

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI visited [the] Hair and Color Studio for the first time 3 days ago now, and I haven’t been so happy with a salon experience in years. To begin at the beginning, I was looking for a place that wasn’t Great Clips–not that I haven’t had adequate haircuts there in the past, but was tired of the experience of being in and out of the chair so quickly that I barely even had time to really decide if I liked the haircut or not. Anyways, I did a general Google search for hair salons in Gloucester and Hair & Color Studio came up as one of the first options. After bopping back and forth between websites for a couple of different places (because I overthink everything and apparently searching for a place to get a haircut gives me anxiety), I decided to call and see if they had an appointment that day. They happened to have an opening, and I went. And boy, am I glad that I did!For starters, Catherine was so friendly and put me immediately at ease. She asked what I was hoping for before we began, and helped me to understand how to better take care of my hair–which at that time was dreadfully dry and full of split ends–without making me feel at all foolish for not already knowing. Then she took me back to shampoo and condition my hair, which was just AMAZING. The stuff she used was like aromatherapy, and having her wash my hair was like a relaxing head massage. I would totally go there JUST to have her wash my hair if I was having a stressful day. There were even pre-warmed towels–one for under my neck as I reclined with my head in the sink, and one for after she was finished.And now on to the haircut. She did a fantastic job, there was never any question whatsoever of her knowing exactly what she was about, and I don’t know if it actually didn’t take very long or if I was just enjoying chatting with her too much to realize how much time was passing. I realize I’m kind of gushing now, but even the blow-dry at the end felt therapeutic. I was so happy with the end result. I would have written this review sooner but I’m a mother two little boys and so I’m easily…distracted, shall we say…But now, I’m glad I waited, because now I can say that 3 days later, I am still loving the haircut and the way my hair feels so much healthier and happier. Seriously can’t recommend this place highly enough; the whole experience was just fantastic, and everyone I met who works there was super nice. Both my son and I have been going here for a number of years and have always left happy. They have the capabilities to do all kinds of services on your hair, and we have tested many of them, since I like trying new things from time to time. Everyone that works at the studio is really friendly and helpful. They make you feel like you’re part of their family. I love the Hair & Color Studio and Kelly is the best. Both my son and I have been going here for a number of years and have always left happy. They have the capabilities to do all kinds of services on your hair, and we have tested many of them, since I like trying new things from time to time. Everyone that works at the studio is really friendly and helpful. They make you feel like you’re part of their family. I have recommended the Hair & Color Studio to many people and will continue to do so.

Professional, clean, friendly and knowledgeable staff!! I would recommend any stylist at this salon! They all know their craft! Amazing ladies, quality product and professional care!
