I got a closure sew-in done at the beginning of March 2022. I’m not sure how this person has so many good reviews…I arrived on time to my appointment even though I live an hour away from the salon. Calvina was 20 minutes late, I had to call to ask her ETA twice. She then proceeded to do her makeup before starting my hair, and also took a break to eat so almost an hour of time wasted. I was charged a higher price than what she had listed on her site. She was initially gentle, but weirdly applied a lot of pressure to my edges. I don’t know if this was done intentionally. I had hairs that were uprooted and have had to use castor oil often to lessen damage. My sew-in did turn out nice, but upon closer inspection at home I saw that she did not sew down the closure well. Within two weeks the closure was lifting, as well as tracks in the back of my head. With her being an hour away, it was too much of an inconvenience to go back. The person that removed the weave for me complained about all the excessive thread used and how difficult removal was. Another disappointing experience…
